I firmly believe they are a factor in spreading the virus.

What do you think about the masks impact on our oceans and environment?

Up to you to believe what you want. I don't really think anything as it was well polluted and fooked long before corona.

With respect to you having your views, but 2 billion masks in the sea isn’t down to the right or wrong decisions of scientists or governments introducing the wearing of them . It’s down to the lazy individual humans who didn’t bin them properly

One of the things about having lower numbers over here is that deaths make the news.

A 38 year old woman with no underlying health issues died 10 days after contracting the Delta strain, she was unvaccinated.

Currently in NSW there are forty-three people in intensive care in NSW, 18 of whom require ventilation. This includes one teenager, seven people in their 20s and three in their 30s.

    11 out of 18 are under 40

Do you have any scientific evidence for this claim?

That doesn’t change the fact the still end up there, in their billions.

All for something that’s not proven to help stop the virus.

The evidence I have is that the first wave (being our lowest in cases) was prior to masks being worn.... Since masks have come in, every wave has got bigger.

Since we’ve stopped wearing them, cases have immediately dropped in numbers.

You don’t have to be a scientist to see the clear facts above.

Masks also cause a human to constantly touch there face, including eyes, nose and mouth. Meaning any germs on the human hands are transferred much more frequently into the body via those avenues.

Again, you don’t have to be a scientist to understand that.

The case numbers are dropping too here in N Wales, where face mask wearing is still mandatory, so how do you account for that?

Are they clear facts, what you're saying is incredibly vague and many people are still wearing masks ...

... cases dropping was the reason masks are no longer compulsory, not the other way round.

The figures being reported now and showing a drop started from before the restrictions were relaxed, so that's just not true. We're only just starting to see the numbers from after mask wearing was relaxed, and remember that it takes a few days before you see any effects of a change, so we could well start to see a rise again, or at least a slowing of the fall.

According to the BBC this morning, we won't see the effects of the lifted restrictions on the numbers until Friday.

So, after testing positive, self-isolating for 13 days, and now being back in the game we were supposed to picking my one year old grandson up this morning to babysit him for the day. Call from son - his partner - six months pregnant with their second child - has woken up feeling like **** this morning and a lateral flow test is showing positive. He's okay for now. But means she has to have a PCR, he has to be tested, the baby has to be tested and if they have to go into lockdown we don't get to see them for another 2 weeks minimum. And that is not even thinking of worst cases. Neither have been jabbed at all - both under 30, despite me nagging them. Trying to keep a lid on my anger, but seething. Wife, well, not in a good place right now. Fuxache.

A lot of young'uns think they are immune from Covid19. Its an old persons disease that does not apply to them, or they have been conned by misinformation or sock puppets telling them the vaccine is dangerous untested etc. All bollocks of course but who says the young are not either gullible or arrogant (they will live forever..). Of course all drugs can have side effects. Take the contraceptive pill for instance, 1 in 100,000 can have side effects...the Covid19 vaccine can have side effects for 1 on 1,000,000 ie 10 times safer. I wonder if those young women refusing a vaccine are 'on the pill'.

I think I have mentioned I play golf from time to time with a medic who works in a local hospital. Its a small ICU it had 6 Covid19 patients aged around 30 or below, non of them had been vaccinated
