Since returning from France on Thursday the trick and treat squad have been all over me like an orange boiler suit. Yesterday brought a call from a guy with a heavy African tone to his accent who appeared unaware that words have spaces in between them. It got really embarrassing with me asking him to speak more slowly and when that didn't work just saying " yes" every now and then. I have absolutely no idea what I said yes to. I just hope it wasn't a question like " Have you been out gallivanting, spreading the disease? "
Speaking of the devil . I'm on day 8 of my no booze experiment. I drank a bottle of red wine and an entire bottle of Johnny Walker black label on 17th . No puking but the hangover was so horrendous that I thought **** this . Sleeping well , no heartburn more energy and pooping properly. I'm going to get to August and re evaluate whether to completely stop or just cut down. It's not that difficult
I had a similar experiment for a couple of weeks - I was going to do “Dry July” - but about half way through July I realised I was missing the health benefits of the anti-oxidants in red wine so I’ve been steaming ever since. No heartburn though as I’m a heartless bastard.
