Just seen a video of some of the goals and what struck me was the noise of the crowd, this was no ordinary friendly it seemed as if 18 months of pent up frustration of not being allowed to go to games was released.... fan....bloody....tastic.....
The United fans (more there than I expected) never stopped singing and our lot made a good noise too. I was also struck by the fact that the taking of the knee (all United players and some of ours) drew loud applause.
Wish every match day could be as perfect as that. So great to be back - hardly felt like I’d been away
Was watching on a dodgy stream and didnt recognise all the players who came on . One of them on the left looked very good going forward , he had a beard and quite short . Sam McCallum ?
Thanks for putting this up. I must say that I do like the new home shirt a lot. Have got plenty in the wardrobe but feel really tempted this time.
It actually occurred to me that the knee-taking had been given a new momentum by the England team and that they had given fans a better understanding of the reasons behind the gesture, hence the applause. The Rangers players not joining in looked out of step.
It'll be interesting to see. It'll either catch on and move away from the BLM political movement, or be replaced by another anti racist gesture that everyone (other than out and out racists) can get behind
The official site don't exactly update their squads very often. There are several players missing still such as Archer, Dunne and Mcallum.....
