Embldon Niel and Diamond having good first half which is exactly what we wanted, wish they were playing last season as the Avancement in skill level would have been great
hope onien and niel can get more involved 2nd half...been a tad quiet, winchester done well i thought, doyle is just solid, flanno looks a lot more assured and one thing i noticed from patterson would not have happened with burge was he came out to grab a ball near the edge of his box, no real danger but just what you expect a keeper to do, take control. emberton is flying, his loan spell did him the power of good, so much more confidence now, diamond looking sharp, looks happier on the left. edit: have to say nice to see fizz from corrie running the line there
i know its only Harrogate but Evans and Doyle looking assured, more game time with the players and i can see they will be a benefit when settled in
My only slight concern so far is that from the team selection (which I know is a friendly so means nowt), it re-enforces my view that LJ decides who his “first team players” are and then plays them no matter what, even if out of position, rather than bring in U23s Neil and Embo obviously count as first team now which is good. But Neil is playing LB ahead of U23 LBs. As I say it’s just a friendly so I don’t mind. But when AOB starts playing centre mid because of an injury crisis it’ll be annoying
