What a **** day, I am ****ing knack'd. Few brews and this captain is off to the ol scratcher. There is one thing that Hernandez does......poach goals!!!! Still gotta find someone that will consistently find the net or a few of them.

I'm pretty sure Arsenal fans amongst many other rivals had a pop at Liverpool fans last year for not filling Anfield up on a week night. Have you seen the Emirates? Seen busier libraries making more noise than that.

Watched highlights of the game and one thing bugged the life out of me....... WHY was Gerrard still on corners when we had Suarez, Downing, and most importantly ADAM out there????

Can't see the image but I think we all agree that Gerrard's corners are not exactly the best. Oh and is that two years in a row a Gerrard free kick through a United wall? hmmm maybe it is their biggest weakness, no brass!

Work computer man, not much I can do about it. Well we got a good result in the Newcaslte x Spurs game, hopefully they both drop points and we take care of our next three, which should all be winnable.

    Aye. <ok>

But with Gerrard though, I would like to see him in or around the box at corners. Not because I think his corners are **** (because he can deliver some cracking ones) but because I think he is more useful on the end of one or picking up a clearance outside the area.

I think his corners are S*** but he is and can be more effective in the box I feel. Sorry, for every good corner you have 9 corners that don't beat the first *********#*)$#$()$#@&(!@! person!

Agreed, Adam can deliver a good cross. But I swear he has not been much better in the majority of games, did well for Skrtel's goal v Bolton though. Talking of Adam, I was really hoping he wouldn't disappear against Utd but fair play to the lad he had a decent game.

Only saw highlights, de gea made some great saves but I am getting a bit worried about Downing. I think after this season he might be more used in squad depth as if he doesn't crank it up we will have to be looking, again, for a winger to deliver service into the box, or at least create oppurtunities. Granted Downing can, but I think we were all under the impression he was brought in to get the most out of Carroll and so far only 1 person has done that in the league and that is ENrique! No qualms about JE though, he looks impressive.

Yeah, I think Enrique, Hendo and AC are the ones here for a while. Downing has all season to break out of his shell, but I feel the same as you...Downing and Adam will be surplus to requirements in the future, especially if we manage to get CL next season.

I think so too, but it just boggles the mind that we would spend 20 million on Downing for him to be surplus in a year ( if it turns out that way). I will let the season play out before any final judgement but there are loads of options out there. Still with the jury on Carroll, not sure what it is but something doesn't quite fit with him just yet.

I'm worried Carroll simply won't work for us. Interesting to read the mags opinions on him, who reckon he suited their long ball play with everything going through Carroll but for our pass and move which we'ere trying to create, I'm wondering if he's sharp enough

Again, like Downing, did we need to spend 35 million on a "different option"? That is where I get a bit confused, I know we were on a tight timeframe but you could have got I feel loads of others in for cheaper that might suit the play better. Also, he has time to develop and adapt so I am not throwing him out just yet but I worry a lot about him, Downing, and Adam.

He's not sharp enough and I honestly don't think he ever will be. He plays a completely different style of football to how we play. And to be honest the team behind his transfer should of realised this before we spent 35mil on him.

    It's a joke - he simply isn't good enough.

I want to say this but feel we should at least give him the year. And for those saying he was first choice, no he wasn't. We went after Gomez and LLorente but both declined. I would have taken that Ola Toivenen guy for about 7 million and used the rest in the summer. We will just have to wait and see.

Yeah I agree we should give him a bit more time, and I probably shouldn't get on his back.

But I don't see the time frame making much difference. He simply isn't suited to our style. And no way do I want our style to change to hoof ball just to suit the big fella.

On fifa I papped Carroll out straight away and Adam for Eto'o and Banega, flying at the moment!! Got rid of Skrtel just to be rid as well and luckily it is a video game so Agger is for the most part always healthy!
