    12pm kick off

Hull City supporters are set to return to the MKM Stadium this weekend for the first time since February 2020.

Everyone at the Club is very excited to welcome back our fans after 17 long months apart and we hope you all have an enjoyable experience upon your return.

While government restrictions have now been relaxed, we ask that supporters continue with certain measures to help make your visit as safe as possible.

We politely ask that all supporters are respectful and considerate towards others whose circumstances may differ to their own.

Supporters are asked to arrive early to avoid large crowds and prevent queues from building up at the turnstiles.

We encourage supporters to continue sanitising their hands and wear face coverings when entering the ground, on the concourses and in our Tiger Leisure store. Face coverings can be removed in the seating bowl.

At the end of the match, anyone who wishes to remain seated to allow the crowd to disperse may do so.

A reminder that the matchday concourses at the MKM Stadium are now cashless. The move is designed to help reduce queues, increase speed of service, improve hygiene and avoid cross contamination.

The MKM Stadium now operates new prohibited items, with restrictions on bags and flasks – full list.

The stadium will not be able to store prohibited items; therefore, it is important that supporters do not bring these items with them. The SMC cannot accept liability for any item left at the turnstiles.

Tickets for Saturday’s pre-season friendly at home to Mansfield Town remain on sale.

Memberships are also on sale now ahead of the new season and guarantee a seat for every home league fixture, while offering a range of other benefits.

Wouldn't be surprising if Humbs OB are fearing trouble so have demanded the early kick off.

    Apparently not.

Mansfield Town CEO Carolyn Radford has moved to Portugal to spend more time her three boys and to have another baby. The 37-year-old businesswoman has swapped her Victorian mansion which she shared with her husband and Mansfield Town FC owner John Radford, for a modern villa in the Algarve.3 Mar 2020

Head Coach Grant McCann cannot wait to welcome supporters back to the MKM Stadium.

This weekend’s pre-season friendly against League Two side Mansfield will be the first home match Hull City fans have been able to attend since February 2020.

And after 17 months, the boss is excited to see the black and amber faithful finally return home.

“We’re buzzing to see our fans again,” said McCann.

“The new lads – and even the players we signed last year – haven’t seen our fans yet.

“It’ll make such a difference having fans back in the stadium after a difficult 18 months or so for everyone.

“It was a tremendous shame they didn’t see us last season, but hopefully we can have another good season this year – with our fans with us every step of the way.

“Our home form is going to be key for us this year and the fans will play a massive part in that.

“We’re delighted fans will be back supporting us at the MKM Stadium this weekend and it’ll be great to see fans at both games.”

McCann will split his squad for the friendlies against Mansfield at 12 noon and away to Scunthorpe at 3pm.

Explaining the rationale behind playing two games on the same day, and on the pre-season plans as a whole, McCann said: “A lot of our friendlies last season took place in-house due to Covid, but it was actually really beneficial because you can control what you want to do with the players.

“The intensity in the 11 v 11s at the training ground is at a much higher level than you get on a matchday, and we’ve built the players up gradually to this point.

“On Tuesday, we played three 30-minute games with a seven-minute break in between, in the blistering heat. The lads covered between 14-15km, which is a lot higher than on a normal matchday.

“The boys have worked really hard at the training ground and everyone is ready to go and play 90 minutes.

“Playing the two games allows everyone to play a full 90 and we believe the way we’ve done things will put us in a really good place for the first game.”

Tickets for both of this weekend’s friendlies remain on sale. Members can use their TeamCard points to purchase tickets for the Mansfield match. Scunthorpe tickets must be purchased from them in advance.

Memberships are also on sale now ahead of the new season and guarantee a seat for every home league fixture, while offering a range of other benefits.

    Sand snowballs though
If I boycott because he waves 20 other people will also stop going but claim they are boycotting because of the waving too. It’s how it works I’m afraid…

Expect chaos as Humbersode Plod refuse entry to people with their faces covered as it makes them impossible to identify them.

I looked at the lettering on the stand in the background and automatically thought ‘Shags’.
