I disagree. I think the defence's inconsistency unsettles him.
I agree with this, but,I would like to see him come off his line more. It's a definate weakness he has that needs to be fixed.

What is our 60% ,Is it pre covid crowds ?
About how much have we paid for players.I don't know what the "current player recruitment profile of the club" is, no-one outside of a limited circle of people know that. I know that I'll trust the new hierarchy to make what they deem to be the best signings they can get, even if it bumps up against the start of the season/end of the transfer window. As long as the players signed are not stop-gaps/squad fillers/panic buys to placate the social media chunterers I'll be happy.
Sorry, I don't understand what you're saying/getting at. Expand a bit please.About how much have we paid for players.
Talking of goalkeepers Forest paid nearly £300,000 for Shilton about 45 years ago, so that gives you some idea how important a good goalkeeper is.I agree with this, but,I would like to see him come off his line more. It's a definate weakness he has that needs to be fixed.
It is based on the current season as far as I know. We will submit a projection of income and wages at the start. If our wages are with 95% of higher than 60% of income we will be put on a watchlist. Regularly through the season we submit updates based on revenue earned and wage costs. If we at any point appear to be heading for an overspend, even if we arent actually overspending yet, we can get a transfer embargo. What is our 60% ,Is it pre covid crowds ?
I think out of last 10 goalies I can only think of Vito and Jason Steele that we have paid a fee forTalking of goalkeepers Forest paid nearly £300,000 for Shilton about 45 years ago, so that gives you some idea how important a good goalkeeper is.
I would probably explode if we got somebody like Vito again.I think out of last 10 goalies I can only think of Vito and Jason Steele that we have paid a fee for
But I'm an old bastard and may have forgot some
As you say mate all guess work so pointless being worried. In an ideal world it would be great to get all our business done quickly but it never works that way especially with the financial effects of covidGetting a bit stupid now the amount of players we supposed to be in for. I know it happens every summer but this year seems to be more than normal. How long were these lists they have? Could be the press haven't a clue and are linking us to everyone or could be were knocked back regularly and we're scratching around for replacement targets. My guess is somewhere inbetween, which is still worrying.
Not pointless getting worried. We care so will be worried and rightly so if LJ is losing sleep! Cannot use Covid as an excuse for everything. Other clubs are getting their squads together. The time for excuses is over. The club needs to get its house in order prior to the season starting. There are a number of games before the window shuts but that would mean we're throwing points away and potentially giving an advantage to our rivals. Bottom line is if these people are as good as were led to believe they need to prove it and fast. Another season in this league is unacceptable. As you say mate all guess work so pointless being worried. Speakman stated we had a list for championship and L1 before end of the season. There was nothing stopping them approaching players and agents the day after the playoff defeat. The fact were as light as we are is unforgivable. If we don't start well and more importantly don't finish in the top 2 heads will have to roll. We're probably building a list - players for now, players for the future. The press are assuming every link is imminent.
Any decent recruitment setup would easily have ten or twelve options for each position on the pitch.

If we don't get off to a good start I hope the fanzines keep their traps shut this time.Agree with all of this and Olivers Army posts
The Club was torn to pieces in the last two years
Not just the playing staff but the whole infrastructure from top to bottom
and the rebuild has only just started.
Absolutely understand why fans get frustrated after the last few years however
This is always the most frustrating time of year Transfers take time to get right pre season is a work in progress so the team often looks ****e
Patience is the key just need to take a step back and let them get on with things
Its not going to be fixed tomorrow but at least I have every confidence that we have "football" people in charge
who may make mistakes but are definitely in it for the right reason.
As my old man used to say "Children and fools should never see a job half done".
How do you know players on those lists haven't been approached? Just because we could have approached them that early doesn't mean that they would have been either in a position to or wanted to enter into negotiations that early. Its not as simple as saying "we want to sign you" and them saying yes or no. A move from one part of the country to another brings up the same issues for footballers as it does for anyone else.Speakman stated we had a list for championship and L1 before end of the season.
