  1. Unsung hero, nice little pass from Raylor, but fantastic finish by Shola. He said it was his best ever finish in an interview, and i have to agree, in terms of technique it was.

  3. As I've said 3 times already, it was a diversionary technique to get top clubs to lose interest of course <cool>

The best part of that is Adebayor bum-humping Tiote, but the God still getting a great touch pass to Raylor.

I know, I was wondering the same thing. I think the cameramen just found a curly guy and then couldn't be bothered moving.

    Shola always does this.

Plays ****e for several games and then out of nowhere scores a crucial goal and buys himself some more time.

    Awesome goal though.

I wish folks would get off Raylors back for a bit. He's been great for us this season, playing in a position that's entirely unnatural to him. Yes he could have been tighter to Defoe, or fouled him, but Defoe scored a cracker and credit goes to him. Raylor was running up and down the flank all game, till the last minute, Simpson looked fairly tired and never go as far forward as raylor did, again on the first goal Raylor is bombing full pace down the flank to draw a defender. He also put in 3 decent freekicks, which could have resulted in goals on another day. First half from the left, his direct effort and the one at the end. Barton took free kicks all of last season and none of the direct ones went anywhere close. plus he had the benefit of lobbing it onto Carrolls big head. So all those moaners crying at Santon coming on for Simpson instead of Raylor... check your eyesight please. Raylors been class, considering he's not exactly the most gifted footballer in the world.

  12. Agreed. Raylor should keep his place and Santon should start vs Wigan at RWB.

I hadn't noticed at the time, but Cheik out the strength (sorry) of Tiote for Shola's goal.

Spurs player puts his full weight in and just bounces off him.

Shola actually said its the best goal he's scored on his left, those of us with less selective memories will remember better goals than that on his stronger foot.

It's moments like this that make me arguably even more pissed off when I look at Shola's performances. We knew before this that he was capable of performances like yesterday yet 9 out of 10 games he is absolute dog turd. Credit where credit is due that was a wonderful goal and an amazing moment from a player who has his critics, myself included. This must surely be what Pards and the other managers before him see on the training ground every day.

He'll go back to being crap for another five games after this I'm sure but well in bonny lad, played like a man possessed from the moment he came on and showed that they don't call him the Fenham Eusebio for nothing. Going to need a lot more of the same to prove to me that he's worth the game time he gets.
