Had ANOTHER crackin game today, hes ' got EVERYTHING you need for me for a fullback

1.Awesome defensively, impossible to get past as hes the build of a rugby league player.
2.Pace, very quick, doesnt matter who hes up against he can match them for pace.
3.Excellent crosser - could have had a couple of more good chances 2day, if our attckin players made runs into the box, off excellent Enrique crosses.
    4.Very good technically
    5.Reads the game very well

Early days but, never mind the best left back in the league, I think hes the best full back in the league, I dont even think it's close

    Hes got the lot

I agree with all that. On the flip side I'd like to see him get rid of the ball quicker when he's near his own goal. He has a tendency to be too cute and try to take people on. It looks great when it comes off, but sometimes it's a risk you could do without taking.

He was a bit too casual today but that just shows how confidant he is on the ball. Was his first Liverpool Man Utd game.

I think the best thing about him is his consistency, you never see him have a poor game or get beaten too easily.

Solid in all areas, what more can you want from a full back.

he is one of the best left backs in the league. but like you said sometimes he tries to be "too cute" and he'll also have his off games but if you can get him to form a good partnership with downing you'll have one of the best left sides in the league.

He's by far the best left back we've had since we had the in form Riise. He's very quick, something I didn't realise before he came to us, very strong, knows how to tackle and likes to go forward. An absoloute steal at £6mil.

In one of the papers today it says that Arsenal were interested but put off by the price tag. Not sure how true that is, but value for money, you aren't going to get much better if you ask me.

For value for money he was the best signing made by anyone over the summer. Closely followed by Cayabe for Newcastle...

Definitely not true given that we bought Santos for roughly the same amount.

The purchase of Santos by Arsenal does not of itself make the newspaper claim wrong.

He'll prove to be Kenny's most valuable signing in terms of Return on investment, him and Downing give natural balance on the left and completment each other.

simply put he was outstanding and heade and shoulders over everyone else. THe motm was badly awarded yesterday proivng as per the english bias in sky. I have to say he was an absolutel steal from newcastle and thier fans can be rightly irate at ashely for how he's let so much talent go cheap and pocketed the money.

ashley must be the luckiest man on earth that newkie got back up and stayed there after sacking hughton and now pardew is having a nice time of it... we all know what happens to pardew sides though.... a bit more squad depth and they'd actually be good. pity they don't have the right manager (hughton) and a few players that have left cos they could be really good this year. still taking a point v the spuds is great news for us.

finally sanots = panic buy late on so........ at least we tracke dour man and got him.

No it doesn't! If anything it proves that Arsenal did not rate the player as worth £6m. By the time you actually bought Santos you were in an even more desperate situation and had to pay over the top for a lesser player. That says more about poor management at Arsenal than it does abour Enrique, his skill or his price tag.

Hmmm, given how amateurish our transfer strategy was this summer there is probably more truth in that argument than I would like to admit!
