Anyone notice Tiote's reaction to his own challenge yesterday?

Shows clearly that he is trying to play clean and that he is not actually trying to tackle maliciously. (as I and many others have said)

Having said that, I must say it was brilliant! What a spasm of self-contained rage!! (after the incident) Truly shows just how passionate he is about what he does and how much he berates himself for getting it wrong.

He then takes a deep breath and goes on to continue giving another belting performance.

As other have said, kept Parker in his back pocket to the point that Parker was the one who started playing up.

Hardly the monster the press have been making of him. Just a dedicated pro with a great talent.

  2. Tiote shat on Parker and Livermore. Tiote is a far better player than Parker.

Tiote showed strength, hunger and his tackle success rate was probably the best yet.

I personally thought Parker and Modric had a good game, and we didn't get a hold of them as much as I would have liked but Tiote did play well. I remember when Bale was running down the left in the first half, Tiote just stood there and took the ball, I stood and applauded, just sensational.

Modric can open up a defence on any given day...but Parker...Didn't really see him much , was just an average performance by Parker, not to forget that Spurs played more like 4-5-1 they packed their midfield with modric drifting central, van der vaart dropping back, and Tiote and Cabaye still.........

Bale was out of the game, as Modric Parker and Liver were all taken out of the game by Tiote and Cabaye.

btw, Livermore is useless, having seen him at Peterborough. Yesterday is probably his best.

I watched the replays last night and Tiote's anger was definetly aimed at Kaboul. He has a habit of making his mouth go and I'm pretty sure he'd said something to Cheik because Tiote was looking and pointing in his direction, and Kaboul had a stupid grin on. Got wiped off didn't it you fat twat! (not fat at all but hey ho). Tiote dominated Parker. Parker was poor. Livermore however had a good solid game and looks a fine player. Seems to be skirting under the radar at present, but looks good to me. Don't think he liked Cabaye hoofing him though!!

Tiote and Kaboul have a bit of history from the last game at WHL.

Ah yes they did have a spat didn't they. I'm with Cheik, there's something instantly dislikeable about Kaboul.

Aye he had a good game. But no I mean he strikes me as a worky ticket I'd like to twat. Cheik clearly feels the same. He may be big but he'd do well to remember Cheik eats his victims when he has finished torturing them.

Lee Probert may have to referee with only 1 arm in future then...

When Tiote was interviewed by sky sports yesterday, sweat was streaming down his face like a warrior....you can tell he gives a sh#t about the club, and always gives a 100%...absolute credit to our football club

I love Modric. One of my favourite non-Toon players. Some of his passing and vision is incredible.

But I thought Parker played well yesterday to be honest. The biggest compliment I can give to Cabaye and Tiote was that Spurs had the extra midfielder, yet Newcastle dominated possession overall (57% or so).
