I never like to see an athlete get injured but McGregor is such a little **** that I did take a smile to myself last night when I saw what happened. I don’t know if he can fight on that leg again though, he’s no spring chicken and you’d imagine that might not heal too well, or at least sufficiently for him to take some punishment on it.
I doubt he'll want to. He certainly doesn't need to fight again and can still make plenty of money with his name alone.
Nah he’ll be alright. That injury has happened a few times in MMA and people with less resources than McGregor have come back fine. Poirier will just make it 3-1 when they do meet again though. Tuivasa stole the show last night anyway, knew he would.
Not necessarily, considering how quickly Ronda Rousey's name dropped off the radar after she got pulped in what ended up being her final bout, with her losing film roles because her name only had value when she was winning
She's earning a couple of million a year as a wrestler now, which I'm sure you're well aware of. Her estimated worth ($13m) is only a fraction of McGregor's, who earned more for his loss last night, by all accounts. The partial sale of his whiskey company brought in about $600m earlier this year.
She hasn't wrestled in a couple of years, though, she went on hiatus immediately after WrestleMania 35. And that's the thing with Rousey: not only does she rage quit but she doesn't have the proverbials to announce she's quitting and instead takes her ball and goes home indefinitely, which happened in UFC after Amanda Nunes pulped her in under a minute and in WWE when she had to do the honours for Becky Lynch These days Rousey's little more than a vlogger who ****s on any wrestler with an MMA background yet is always at least 500 miles away from them when she does so in case she might actually have to be in a ring with them and see how worked their strikes or submissions would be
Cracking game of Cricket tonight, record run chase at Edgebaston and won by 3 wickets with 2 overs spare .well done lads
Groundhog Day. I don’t think Fury v Joshua will ever happen now. The division has become a circus (was it ever anything else?). It’s not a meritocracy- it’s just about the biggest purse.
Contractual obligation. The interest just isn't there for this one, though. Most people think that Wilder already lost to Fury twice. Why go again?
If you think solely having the Tourmalet on the route makes a stage "iconic" , you haven't seen many TdF stages in the Pyrenees.
Sunday was a great day for sport Brilliant 20/20 cricket, i have been a cricket fan for years the old John Player Sunday league was the cricket that I watched live in my youth but 20/20 has really reinvigorated the sport, funny thing is we were playing 20/20 evening league cricket in the 80s. I am not a huge fan of golf or F1, but I always enjoy the last afternoon of the open and often watch the start of the British GP, didn't see much of the golf as I watched a lot of the cricket, but I did see the start of the GP and the 'crash' and then the restart, saw that Hamilton had the 10 sec penalty and thought that was that, checked in about 15 laps from the end to see him absolutely flying what a drive to claw that back and win.
I wasn't necessarily thinking about the Col de Tourmalet alone but they have gone up almost every year for over 100 years since the Pyrenees was included so it's pretty iconic by any standards.
Another fabulous 20/20 international so close, I make Pakistan a bit unlucky, but it was great entertainment.
