Only member clubs can discuss with the PL, apparently. So the club has to be the conduit to the would-be purchasers.

Might be true of Arbitration, but not of CAT.

The CAT claim was brought by NCSL, the private fan group. Ashley then took the reins. Besides which, the CAT claim isn't between NUFC and the PL. The more understandable route would've been for Ashley to launch a restriction of trade claim against the PL, and the buyers to launch a CAT claim.

They where wanting to take over a member club. But I get what your saying. Just seems off that the selling club has to provide evidence of the buying clubs credentials!

A restraint of trade claim may follow. St James Holdings likely has a very strong case.

Sean Casey should be banned from Twitter. His latest post is not only embarrassing, it is just completely beyond the bounds of reality. He and Burnsie are two complete fruit loops.

Probably the whole problem with arbitration is the Saudi's are nowhere to be seen, so evidence probably isn't great. I'd also imagine the evidence from the PL isn't great - they were clearly obfuscating due to corruption, piracy or both and didn't know what to do.

The PL has to produce evidence establishing their position - That is, MBS will be directly responsible for running NUFC and making the day to day decisions.

Nothing less than conclusive evidence of this will do.

They cannot produce it of course. They rely on MBS being chairman of PIF and that alone is insufficient. They believe KSA-MBS to be a person with significant control of PIF by virtue of being chairman, but cannot produce evidence to prove that KSA-MBS will run NUFC or be in daybto day control.

    It is ridiculous.

So why is not then a situ of innocent until proven guilty or... in this case MBS is not a named director unless the PL can prove otherwise.

What i suspect has happened is the PL have submitted something which the panel cannot verify or prove (PL knowingly) and they have gone back to PIF and asked for more info which they either wont provide or cant do so.

    Thus stalemate.

Just got to get on supporting the club and its £10m transfer budget. At least we now know for certain that MA has to spend at least some money on some players.

    We have lost/released:
    • Carrol
    • Atsu
    • Saivet
    • Willock
    • Lejuene on the way out
When you look at the value of our squad and compare it to most other teams in the PL **** me its embarrassing where we are now.

I refuse to move on from how the PL has treated this club and us as fans.

This is bigger than any takeover.

Nobody can move on until this concludes.

I understand the people saying they're done, but they know aswel as I do they're never going to be free until the day something conclusive happens.

Jesus just had a scan over twitter. People are out acting like we've had a withdrawal statement.

I don't understand them at all... It's like they think another buyer is going to magically appear

If PIF withdrew today and the next day they were told they'd come back maybe they'd realise in those 24 hrs why its still alot more positive than it would be if the consortium did actually give up.
