Nah I've not changed my stance for months now mate and in my case it's actually a good sign of a deal before arbitration
I kinda wondered that. Arbitration being delayed means nothing as it doesn't even need to happen. Hopefully we have the PL rattled and this will all play out behind the scenes (which the PL will want of course) and we get things done at some point in the next 6 months....I don't really care when as long as it happens.
**** knows how, but they could conspire enough amongst themselves and the big 6 enough for the season to be a little more awkward than normal for yourselves. For example, the big 6 and those on the fringes could play their strongest sides against you, when normally they might rest one or two players? Some important paperwork might go 'missing' on transfer deadline day? Big six might unsettle your better players with transfer rumours? Who knows what dodgy politics goes on at Premier League HQ? You's are attempting to break the status quo and are seriously pissing alot of powerful people off. I'm not saying it would happen, but I'd be slightly worried that it will. A referee makes a dodgy decision that costs yous points? 'The Premier League has told him to do that etc etc.....'
And that will take the problem out of the Premier Leagues hands. When Newcastle were on that terrible run it crossed my mind that they may be purposely getting relegated in order for the better chance of the EFL giving the takeover the go ahead. That theory went south when yous started to win every other week!
Are pif determined? seems to be they've waited 15 months and are probably determined to win this. They really want this club.. They could've ****ed off a year ago and bought another
So has every other team fighting in the bottom half of every league in the world to be honest. Teams that cant rectify a refereeing mistake by banging in a couple of goals afterwards thus making the refereeing error meaningless and pushing it to a mere line or two in the after match report, rather than the headline.
Meanwhile. MA still taking the piss out of the club. Buys land through new co for 3.5m knowing he already had a buyer lined up for 9m. Sells said land and extracts 5m from the club. I know it’s not a lot of money but that’s the ****housery that is MA!
The PL/Bird & Bird are all about delaying (it's how they expect to win) but it wouldn't surprise me if PIF haven't been forthcoming with disclosure either. Also, not to labour this point as I've posted this three times now, but the narrative emerging today that this was all preplanned as a way to get CAT done first is not very likely based on Ghodoussi's tweet. While the club's statement wasn't vitriolic like previous ones against the PL, his tone clearly was and that's not what you'd expect if a settlement was being worked on and lawyers had informed both sides it was workable. As Roland says, I bet the PL have had strong words with NUFC for the way they've disparaged them publicly and threatened them with sanctions if it continues.
PL threatening us with sanctions? Using their punishment scale for the ESL... I'd say being banned from flying the pennant for 1 day would be appropriate.
On a serious note, it's quite possible that both parties have agreed to push this back to try to reach a settlement of some sort. The insertion of the word 'regrettable' may be a way for NUFC to keep the fans onside.
Sounds like more evidence to me! The clubs statement is irrelevant - they won't be allowed to put out more than they have. Ghodoussi's tweet IS the one for me. Pretty much the only person with a vested interest but not gagged by NDA's etc as he's technically not involved or named on any of the paperwork. As you say this is the EPL/Bird&Bird trying to kick the can down the road but I have a feeling its a last gasp attempt to get the Saudi's to walk before they fold and make way for them.
