Boab, I though O'Dea got aroiund a bit, was always there at the right time, nothing too classy but positional play was great
As much as it pains me with Becchio been a modern day Leeds legend, I wouldn't start him above Keogh. Keogh is a creator (and an amazing work horse), while McCormack is a finisher/poacher, and Becchio is a finisher/poacher. Without a good creator, a good finisher who can't work on his own (which is what I believe McCormack is) will fail. Becchio did alright on his own or with another clinical striker but without Keogh, Mcormack will struggle and I doubt he would have scored half as many goals as he has.
Legend? Seriously? Maybe a cult hero, but nowhere near a legend, modern day, lower league or otherwise.
I think you could probably combine 2 and call him a modern day lower league legend. We should stick with Keogh and McCormack for now because they're doing brilliantly, but if we revert back to 1 up front then IMO there is only 1 man for the job.
I can`t be sure about O`Dea just yet,Lees looks assured,Rosco and Keogh a great pair,Snoddy coming back,Jenkins! we are looking good again! Nice...Pugh would be worth buying, good utility player
Defense in general were solid as a rock. I saw something from Leeds that I don't remember ever seeing - while off the ball we smothered them. I don't remember seeing many challenges made that didn't involve at least 2 of our players. We gave them no space whatsoever. Keep that up and we'll win the league.
We only seem to do it on Friday nights when we're on the telly. Reading, Brighton, Doncaster. Maybe the West Ham game too. Probably a coincidence but the players can't be allowed to think that just because they're only playing in front of a crowd, they don't have to be as committed in terms of pressing the opposition. Our midfield's definitely been more pressing this season, but not as much as it could be. Like you say, pressure wins leagues.
We didn't against Brighton after scoring the 2nd. If we'd played against Brighton like we did against Doncaster we'd have won comfortably. It's when we stop that attitude of not giving them an inch, when we stop running at them for every ball and smothering them with 2 or 3 players, when we invite them on that we start to concede.
