So Ehab is given a load of free money, which he can keep if he doesn't spend any money for a bit - lets face it - he won't be paying it back so he wont be spending any money
Correct .... so far. Plenty of time for that to change, and it will (albeit not like previous seasons). BUT it's not just about paying transfer fees (as the HDM article explained). Horse trading, restrictions, etc, and missed opportunities that most other managers aren't hampered by. As said, I absolutely understand the realities of the finances. But I'm pretty certain the Allams didn't need to do this; they couldn't resist free money, sod the consequences.
And if we only sell 7000 passes we won’t have anything to complain about will we Its a no brainer for me take the cash Id do the same in their shoes
What consequences? What has this stopped us doing that we as a club has wanted to do? The money was and is there still for Slater, why would we or anyone pay a grant back untill they had to to do something they wanted to do? Untill that point you keep the money in your bank
Ehab isn’t a mug. Mugs are people like me who go to every home game and as many away games as I can. Whilst Ehab waits for his cheques from West Ham & Leicester every year. I’ll continue to be a mug because I support Hull City but let’s not defend them.
There is absolutely tons of situations that you can't and shouldn't defend them, but in this specific situation they/he isn't doing anything wrong. They money is there to pay the grant back if we need to, but until that time comes why should he/they back... It's a grant!
Let’s hope we are competitive when attempting to pick up free transfers from League 1 & 2 tough market out there.
An interest free loan is offered by the EFL, the club take advantage of it, or they could have loaned the club the same amount and charged interest on it, quite legally, and everyone on here would be jumping up and down and calling the Allams from a pig to a dog. Seems you cannot win sometimes.
A fee and personal terms was agreed with him and sheff utd and the only reason he isn't here is their new manager blocked it, the money for that deal is still there to be spent if he becomes available
Sheffield United have cancelled all of their pre season friendlies due to Covid, so it'll be a while before Jokanovic gets a proper look at him.
Or they could use this imaginary money and spend it elsewhere. Smells of bullshit to me. Though I hope to be proved wrong as we all do.
Do the club pay you for the PR work. It seems to me you are using the most popular Hull City messageboard to say you are now ITK and how amazing everything is. Nothing personal but all seems a bit iffy to me.
I've not been on the club's payroll for almost 20yrs, so unfortunately not, I just call things how I see them and also pass on info as and when I can do ( I've never said I'm in the know ), just because you have a different view to me on most things doesn't mean I'm on the payroll or a bit iffy... If the club needs calling out or the allams do something that needs and should be called out then I have done and will continue to do so, but I don't let me feelings towards them cloud my judgement or instantly blame them for everything or say everything they do is ****/bad/wrong etc If you think I'm just a club PR mouthpiece then why not stick me on ignore?
