nah if i had ordered two pints of ale instead of one at half time it would of teared a hole in the fabric of the space time continunim and which thus creating a final score of 4-5 to the Mighty Boys from Trafford! plus if fergie had n't had his head up his arse we would of had a stronger line up!
Yeah you're right. With Liverpool chasing the game we'd have grabbed another two in the second half as well. Damn Dalglish and his negative tactics...
Then Kenny would have brought himself on to grab a late winner from the spot, having being brought down by Ferguson, who replaced Rio shortly beforehand.
Look pool fans, Fergie made a wild and insane team selection but the fact of the matter is he got it right. people talk about fergies lack of tactical ability but against you lot he set United up not to lose. It worked. Us United fans were as confused by the line up as you but if you think about it he was quite clever in how he set us up. Rooneys head wasnt in the right place, Nani played 2 games recently for portugal, young played 1. It was scrappy, its was volatile at times but at the end of the day we ended a run of poor results at anfield, a run of defeats and thats enough to make most united fans happy.
Yeah, he got it right retrospectively. But I doubt he thought 'we'll go a goal down in the second half, and then I'll bring Hernandez on to score.' It was a gamble that paid off rather than astute tactics.
Yeah but I reckon he could hit him with a whiskey bottle from 20 yards I reckon he probably did expect us to go a goal down at some point, although probably not in such a ridiculous manner. Why else would he have Rooney, Nani and Hernandez on the bench if not to bring them on when needed? And it worked perfectly - Liverpool were completely unprepared to deal with Hernandez' movement and he scored with virtually his first touch. Shades of Solskjaer
First time I've been on here since Friday, so just a few questions, comments and observations. Firstly Swarbs, what happened to the virtual match between us lot and you lot? From some of the comments from the utd shower, it appears they were watching another match to me. I was sitting in a room with around 80 people, made up almost exclusively of Liverpool and utd fans. The concensus from ALL parties was that utd got out of gaol free. Everything single stat demonstrated Liverpool's superiority. It was clear ferguson was frightened, given the defensive team he put out. As with Stoke, Liverpool should have won. The main worry is that we still don't seem capable of putting a game to bed. Am I right to think that KPR/EMF has been banned completely? Have to say I'm disappointed about the virtual match. I was looking forward to that.
I did it. Utd won 2-1 with goals from UIR and sweats. Liverpool consolation from GKRK. Unfortunately the video ****ed up so it didn't record properly. No one's denying Liverpool had more possession and chances. But you don't win a match with stats. Your players shanked your only clear cut chances from open play (Suarez and Henderson). And one of those was down to a lucky deflection off Evans. As at Stoke, Liverpool did not do enough to deserve to win. Hence there have been Liverpool fans on the Utd board saying the draw was the fair result You are indeed.
Thanks Swarbs. So: 1. FIX !!! 2. Elements of truth, but we did enough to deserve the 3 points. 3.. Was it a final major transgression, or just the straw and the camel's back thing?
Will try tonight... I disagree - you only really stretched our keeper twice all game. But then that'll be yet another endless debate I think it was the straw thing, but ask the Liverpool mods cos I'm not entirely sure what it was in the end.
Did our superb keeper (Me) make any great saves? I expect so... Also who got MOTM, if you can remember off hand?
I don't think he did anything major on the day. Basically he just said that the Liverpool posters on here don't have any balls. This was after saying the Evans handball was a penalty, the Enrique handball never even touched his arm at all, Adam was blatantly tripped etc etc - basically crying and failing to see whatever is inffron of him. I think people had just had enough of him, however I think he will be back
"FIX !!!" "I'll try tonight" Very good Swarbs. I think you know only too well what I meant However, it you can indeed re-fix one and fix the video, it wiould be fun to watch it.
UIR was MOTM with a goal and assist. You did pretty well - made quite a few saves and were the second best Liverpool player after Bluff. I'll try and replay the highlights and record them now. Will also upload saved games before and after so everyone can see the analysis if they so desire...
