All I seem to hear, after the abject displays and defeats, from the Fat Controller is about the team needs time to gel? Okay, we did bring in a few players but look at the facts.

Ji and Wickham are not considered for the first team anyway, even in League Cup games so they can be discounted.

Brown and O Shea have actually been gelling together for over a decade now and must know each others games very well by now.

Of the starting 11 yesterday, only Vaughan and Larsson were relative newbies as Mignolet, Elmo, Turner, Richardson, Catts, Collback and Sess have all had game time at SAFC over the past few years for some and at least a full season for most.

How much time do they need FFS?

Its a complete myth about all the new players needing time to gel and imo, its merely an excuse that has been quickly utilised by a struggling, desperate manager, grasping for a lifeline in front of his lords and masters.

If there were 6 or 7 new faces actually playing in the team he could get away with it but there isn't.

So next time you hear him gob-****e about another defeat (and there will be many more of them) on the TV and bleating on about time to 'gel', shout at the telly and tell him to shut the **** up and get on with it.

Turner is finished, and hopefully we will not see him in our defence again when Bardsley returns...

Nothing complicated about this one... Its just yet another in the line of excuses from Bruce as he bumbles and fumbles his way from one poor result to another, nearly 3 years after becoming the manager.

Again we keep saying the same things about the team these are professional footballers so should be at least half way gelled to start with plus they've had a full pre season and 9 games this season to gel. Bruce is running out of excuses now and hopefully he's also running out of time.

Why was Ji and Connor signed ?, i would like them to be given 90 mins at Bolton but for some strange reason he won't. We should have had the system and team in place by now and stuck with the same team week in week out. We still need 4 big name players, i would like to see Bruce get us into the top 6 and win the f a cup, but if he really believes he cannot achieve that he should stand down. Roy keane is the only manager in years not to take us down i hope Bruce does not. I hope Niall can get us the big backer we need fast, and maybe we will be the new Man city, can you imagine trying to get into the stadium of light if we had their players! and their position. If we and Newcastle were 1st and 2nd wembley would not be big enough for the next derby game's supporters!. I would not mind Sunderland finishing 3rd and the mags finishing 4th this season, with the Boro, Hartlepool, Darlington, Carlisle, Gateshead and York getting promoted this season as well.
