Why was Rodwell sent off? Some you get, some you don't. IMO it was not exactly a clear cut yellow in the first place.
Rodwell was sent off for the same reason why Steve Gerrard was sent off at the theatre of debt in January...his studs were showing. Ferdinand was already booked, he tripped Charlie Adam up, two yellows= red, he should have been sent off.
Adam made a meal out of it. Even a reasonable human being surely would admit that they would be disappointed if they were to receive a second yellow for that
He was tripped up, he made a meal out of nothing. Evra made meal of the jostling he and Suarez were doing in the corner and only managed to mouth himself into the referees book. He only did that, so that the ref would give a goal-kick instead of what should have been a corner.
He dived. The images of his face just after he had won the free kick said it all. Smug **** thought he was a clever **** for doing it.
Suarez tripped Evra in the corner. Suarez' whole foot seemed to trip him. try watching the incident KPR.
I suppose Jonny Evans hand only accidently touched the ball too. Biased bastard. Before you go on about Jose Enrique, Unless he has arms on his chest, which he doesn't, that was never a hand-ball.
You mean enriques punch? Yeh it was more of a pen than yours but neither were pens at the end of the day.
UIR. Don't be a mong, its impossible for someone to punch the ball with their chest. Secondly the dope-test misser should have had an early bath. Did you lot deserve a point on the balance of play. Certainly not. Reina had not one save to make.
Rabble rabble rabble. Oh and reina didnt make a save as the one that he needed to save....well he didnt. Bad day for reina today/
What a penis. Enrique actually touched the ball twice with his arm as he was trying to withdraw it. Like the Evans one, it wasn't a purposeful movement, but there was contact. Neither were penalties though, unless Phil Dowd was reffing.
Agreed Suarezlfc, Neither were penalties - it's just frustrating when some people can't even acknowledge the fact the the ball hit Enrique's arm. The penalties or non penalties haven't really been debated by most sensible fans as most people know the ref was right both times
So much for Fergie saying it was more intense than el calssico, thats why he put on the team he did eh? Tell you what, he came for a point. if he started with shrek and havi and nani they'd have lost by a few, so Fergie knew what he was doing
I thought it was a dismal match with lots of huffing and puffing but little end product. Apart from the Suarez (Bellamy mk2) and Evra debacle the game was free of bad tackles and the usual level of fan tribalism. Liverpool were the better side and deserved 3 points but that was hardly surprising given that they were at home with their best team out. I was pretty miffed when I saw our line-up. There really were some mystifying choices taken and Hernandez's goal saved Ferguson from a post-match selection enquiry. Why not just play 4-4-2, field a full strength side and go for the win?
Fergie didn't come for a point. He said he intended to soak up the Liverpool pressure and grab a goal near the end. Apparently Gerrards goal ruined that scenario as Fergie was just about to make his substitutions. In the past, when we have played 4-5-1, Carrick and Anderson are in the line-up, but this did not happen. Instead we had 3 wingers and a defender making up a 5 man midfield. This seemed very bizarre to me, given that we have been playing a good standard of football and scoring goals. I didn't see a reason to be overly fearful of the Liverpool side. I think City are a bigger threat and I would be very very surprised if he plays 4-5-1 against them on the weekend.
You're standard was lower against Stoke, Norwich and us (because we didn't let you), and you have been conceding as well as scoring.
RHC Agreed - but to be fair as soon as the injuries starting creeping in it and Carrick was in the side it was bound to happen. Our back-four has been as makeshift as anyones this season. I sometimes wonder why we save these seemingly experimental line-ups for the Liverpool away game. Still, at least Anderson didn't play on the left wing this time and at least Carrick didn't play at all so it wasn't all bad.
