Choose the players you wish to see pull on the England jersey in 2012.

You can choose to list just the 11 man starting players or the full 23 man squad its up to you.

    ----------------------------Hart------------------------
    Richards----------Terry----------Jones----------Cole
    ----------------Wilshere---------Parker---------------
    Walcott------------------Gerrard---------------Young
    ----------------------------Bent------------------------

    -------------------------Carson-------------------------
    Johnson--------Cahill---------Ferdinand-------Baines
    -----------------Milner--------Barry--------------------
    Chamberlain---------Lampard----------------Johnson
    -----------------------Sturridge-------------------------

    GK - Stockdale
    Def - Smalling
    Mid/Att - Welbeck

No Rooney, cause he will disrupt the team when not playing and then kick a good player out of the team if we make it through the group. Even if the ban is brought down to 2 matches through the appeal, he should not go. If 1 match, then possibly...

Lots of people calling for Terry, Ferdinand, Gerrard and Lampard to be dropped, but we need experienced heads, and so they should go, although not necessarily to start.

If players get injured, here are back-ups:

    GK - Green, James
FB - Kelly, Walker; Gibbs, Warnock
    CB - Jagielka, Dann
CM - Barton, Cleverley, Henderson, Lansbury
    Wing - Downing, Jarvis
Att - Johnson (yes, another one), Carroll.

P.S., if anyone can name ALL of the Johnsons and their respective clubs and positions, I will give out a prize...

I thought the squad was 23?

On current form I would take:
    GK: Hart, Fielding, Stockdale
DF: Richards, Smalling, Jones, Cole, Terry, Gibbs, Ferdinand
MF: Wilshere, Milner, Cleverly, Parker, Walcott, Young, Barry, Lampard, Gerrard, Oxlade-Chamberlain
    ST: Sturridge, Welbeck, Zamora

I think this squad gives the balance to try out different formations, from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3. Personally if Rooney had been available I think we should have tried a spearhead of Sturridge, Welbeck and Rooney but no use now!
Of course Rooney will go and Richards and Gibbs will not.

Sorry thought you meant the Euros :s. In this case I guess we can take most of the senior players out as only 3 can be older than 23. So perhaps keep Parker, Hart and Cole (the hardest to replace) and then build from there.

    A more sprightly team:
    Hart
    Walker Smalling Jones Gibbs/Bertrand
    Wilshere Cleverly/Livermore
    Walcott Oxlade Chamberlain Sturridge
    Welbeck

The names being mentioned make me worry about the future England considerably - I mean, are these really the best players?? England have no chance of competing with the best sides in the world, no chance!

I just hope none of our players get picked (and therefore injured) for ANY national side.

Euro's have a 23 man squad actually, so 2 teams plus an extra goalie basically. and why would people pick Walker over Richards and Parker/Barry over Wilshere. Also Rooney should not go AT ALL!

Because if we select wilshere he will only go and get injured lying still on the plane, and as far as to take or not take rooney he is Englands best player and id rather take him in the odd chance we do get through rather than have an average player like lennon sit on the bench and not get selected.
