Dan Wheldon RIP

[video=youtube;Sn08nh7zoto]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn08nh7zoto[/video]Dan Wheldon, who moved to the United States from his native England with hopes of winning the Indianapolis 500 and went on to twice prevail at his sport's most famed race, died Sunday after a massive, fiery wreck at the Las Vegas Indy 300. He was 33.
As word began to spread that his injuries were fatal, those at the track could not control their tears.

indycar is such a boring ****e sport and its clearly unsafe. when was the last fatality in F1? seems people are always dying in indycar.

This I hate all motor sports - all for techno geeks and about as interesting to me as having a conversation with a piece of wood.

 

I feel sorry for the piece of wood.

 

You shoudn't - 2 minutes of my conversation and it comes to life and runs off. Admittedly sometimes they run staright into the path of oncoming buses which is a shame but some of them have gone on to live long and healthy lives all through the pain of having a chat with me.

 

What type of wood? I find that the pines and the cypresses are able to chat knowledgeably on a wide range of topics, but the hardwoods are invariably pretentious bores.
