I think 7th is as high as we can hope to finish, and that would be a brilliant season.

I fancy Spurs for fourth (dont rate half the Liverpool team at all), good luck for the rest of the season <cheers>

I have to agree. They are far more resiliant than either. They have a formula and it seems to work for them, whether injuries or a long season will let them sustain the phenomenal amount of work (their midfield especially) get through remains to be seen, but if they can take points off the gooners and the scousers, I wouldn't complain.

I believe Harry said in an interview (up somewhere on the BBC I think) that King strained his groin or something similar. He's more and more likely to get these strain injuries nowadays because he plays even less than he used to, and the lack of full match fitness means that although he can make it through the 90 mins most times, occasionally this sort of thing happens due to lack of match practice.

In relation to the one that asked about the Spurs allocation, they had about 2400. The stadium was marked out so that they had a full 3200, but they had one block empty worth 500 seats, as well as the Balcony only having a handful on, and dotted empty seats in the main stand. Still a really good turnout considering the price of tickets, it's on SKY and people have rioting, sorry, work the next day. ;)

I wouldn't bother going to St James in the away end anyway. It's a great ground and great atmosphere, but not for the away fan. You're so far away from the pitch, it's a poor position to travel all that way up there for. Especially as we rarely win there as well, and it's a bloody long way home. Luckily the only time I went up there, in the days of the terraces, we won :)

The view is very good. You can see everything. I know I'd rather be at the back than at the front, struggling to see the other side of the pitch. I sat up there for 10 years, loved it.

Fair enough ISN, you'll know better than me. Lots of Spurs fans have complained about pushed so high up in there in the 'gods', but I haven't been up there, so can't comment. I know at the Lane I like to be closer to the action than the away fans are at the Toon, but we have different grounds so I can't be definitive on this.

That's fair enough. A lot complain but I think it's understandable that our own fans get the best seats.

We'd have to break our current wage structure just to offer him half of it. Whilst we're in great condition financially, it's worth us remembering that the reason for that is that we have our wage cap.

If he enjoys his season here and wants to take a big cut to stay then fair enough, I'm sure we'd love to have him but whilst he knows he'll have to take a cut to leave City, I'm sure there will be clubs willing to pay him more than us.

As for the game yesterday, on the performance I'm pleased with a draw. Bale looked knackered, which is unsurprising given he spent another week carrying Wales. I was disappointed with a number of our players though, Walker really let himself down getting carried away bombing up the pitch when we were 2-1 up with 10 minutes to go and then neglecting his defensive duties. But he's young and will learn, the likes of Bale, Modric, VDV and Adebayor should no better any international tiredness/injuries aside their passing was awful in the first half and it was basic stuff too.

    EPL-NEWCASTLE UNITED vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR(16-10-11)-AR

Magnet link to the game, if you want to keep it on disk rather than memory.

Some sound issues from 40-45 minutes =(

    Two question:

    1. Am I allowed to post links here?

    2. The scene is growing. Is this the sort of thing people on here might want?

While we're on Adebayor, what is your wage cap?

That link's not working for me, Inda.

    1. As far as I know.
    2. I think so. I'd certainly appreciate it.

    Nobody knows.
Our wage bill was £67m pa at the last count though, so probably about £70k pw at the moment.
The rumours about Modric suggest that it'll rise to £100k for him, though.

As a contrast, here's a link to the finances of the other clubs in the division, bearing in mind that it's always a season behind:

I checked it twice. It does work :)

You'll need a decent client like uTorrent that handles magnet links. http://www.utorrent.com/

I don't feel comfortable posting the actual torrent file.

I've never heard of Torrent, is it genuine, for want of a better word? Just wary of downloading random things off the internet haha.

I'm not big on torrent use either, to be honest.

I never get why fans get their cameras and camera phones out during the game, I'm always fully caught up in the game and the atmosphere.
