A decent defensive midfielder + somehow getting Willock would transform our team to be honest. £35-£40m would be a bargain for that kind of change. I'd have us playing a similar system to England in the Euros, as we're up against it most games but have fast runners up top I reckon it suits us more. We're getting neither of those players though and will play a similar system with Hayden, Longstaff and then Shelvey in the "dynamic" role.
we've been missing a decent CDM for about 4 years now. This lad is available, is young and talented and we're bucking our nose up at 15M. After signing Joelinton for far more. Newcastle United
Buying from Ligue 1 often feels like a total gamble. For every Cabaye that pops up for £5m and gets it there's a Thauvin who wants nothing to do with the wet weather and tough tackles. This lad looks closer to the former category, but I have no idea what Bruce is planning tactically this season to be quite frank. I quite liked our high-pressing, split striker strategy, especially away from home, but the big knacker is far too old for that.
Sounds legit reporting from this Football Transfer Central... I mean how can they not be believed when they heard news of a bid coming in.
