after two weeks of very good referees, allowing games to flow and not stopping for 'fouls' at the slightest touch, our lads fell over time and again handing the ball back to italy. kane and sterling...not really in the game so this time southgate got it very wrong, needed good supplies to those lads but they ended up dropping deeper and trying to run through the defence on their own. rest of the world all realising one thing, the english just cannot pass the ball around very well at all....run at them and they go backwards and hoof it upfield.
It was stupid to bring him and rashford on for 2 minutes of game play and expect them to take a pen. Southgate to blame as we all seen the equaliser coming and he done nothing to change it while Mancini seen what was happening and changed it at half time
Exactly. As long as it’s hit hard and true no one would criticise. When you pogo your way from the half way line stand over the ball like a fanny and then pass it to the keeper you are going to get **** from people.
We lost that by standing off the Italy players that second half. Before that we were spot on and could have been a couple up. As for penalties well, we were rubbish. Saka never looked like he was going to score and tbh had a bit of a mare from coming on. Still though well done England for getting to the final
England were best for the first half of the first half. The remainder of the game we were second best.
Cant turn on Southgate all of a sudden. He has been spot on all the way through the tournament. The players stepped off the Italian players and he kept shouting at them to get tighter and to press.
it just has never looked good, one player did it a few times and got rave reviews so some of our lot decided to copy, it does feck all to help as shown by how many get saved or miss the target...just looks stupid and it gets stupider when they miss.

oh I no we sat back and that's fair enough you saying that, and I was as annoyed as the next person.
