Well how many ****ing times. Do not stroke penalties. Don’t coaches see the ****ing obvious. I said at half time I hope Southgate has learnt from the Croatia World Cup semi. No he hasn’t. Poor poor tactics.
The choice of penalty takers was ****ing stupid. Piled loads of pressure onto the kids, while the older wiser heads stood and watched.
RashfordS dance was a shocker Best team on the night won unfortunately I thought Walker took pens? And Sterling? And Phillips?
They do.. That’s a bad call by Gareth, but tbf that’s the first, and worst decision he had made in this tournament in my opinion. Always penalties..
We ****ed that up in the end, but to be honest, the better team won. 55 years of hurt, never stopped me dreaming. Next time, eh?
He never made subs early enough we weren’t in it second half If he knew Sterling wasn’t a penalty taker he shoulda come off as he did nowt second half
Look at out how many pens have been missed in this tournament.... Players Just aren't mentally strong enough to take the pressure these days?
Rashfords penalty effort just confirmed my opinion of him, he's vastly overrated. On balance we didn't deserve to win but the choice of penalty takers and earlier substitutions were questionable.
It’s not the mental side it’s the messing about. The goalie is 6 foot 5. Hit them hard in the bottom corner. They have got to stop these players trying to be different.
Totally agree Chazz… he didn’t do much all game really. His decision making deserted him this time. Lost the ball a lot.
Absolutely gutted to lose on pens. Italy where the better side though so I don’t feel we was unlucky. Though we had them for the first 25 mins of the 1st half and a 2nd goal would have killed them off. We go again though I’m so used to losing this way now that it hurts a lot less.
When the Chelsea ladies manager is saying that the subs should have been 10 minutes earlier (just as Italy scored) it again highlighted GS naivety... Mancini was Pro Active and reactive... unfortunately our manager was neither..... being 'nice' gets you so far... Had Chiesa stayed on the pitch mind you, we might not even have got to penalties...
Did he play in any of the earlier games? I don't think he did comes on for a token 5 mins at the end and then asked, told to take a penalty.
All young kids growing up wanting to be footballers should be shown Harry Maguire's pen over and over. That is how you take a pen every single time
