I'm going to disagree with this, mate. Against Denmark and Ukraine his speed got us out of the **** 2 or 3 times. I can't actually think of one of our weak areas in this tournament. We've been solid all over the pitch.
I am a tad surprised if we havr gone with wing backs. I wont doubt the manager though he has earned our trust. I would have liked more pace up front with Kane dragging Bonucci out of position and Sterling and Saka running at the centre of their defence. I am not sure crosses are the way forward against Chielline and Bonucci. Maybe this is another German performance where stifle them, get possessio and tire them, then unleash Saka, Grealish and co.
His speed gets himself out of the **** a lot of the time, not sure he has covered many mistakes made by other defenders in this tournament. Think I said it earlier on the thread, once his pace goes he isn't a good defender for the experience he has got imo. Loads of CL and international games but not a lot going on upstairs.

No mate, against Denmark that young lad ran off the back of Maguire and Walker has like Usain Bolt how we got across on the cover. Against Germany a ball came in from the right and centre halves Pickford hesitated and he got his body in a greqt position to allow Pickford to get control.

The one where he expected Pickford to get it was hilarious, think it was the QF. It was nowhere near the keepers ball and almost cost us. (it's a different one to the one you are talking about though.) I just think he is way better in the City team than he is for England. Form for City.....I'd pick him every day. Form for England.....hmmm. Big question marks imo. Hopefully no mistakes from any of them tonight though!
