I didn't get A job at Clearanswer. I got rejected after the second interview The Job was at Kingstown furniture
Ah fair enough, bad times pal. One of the senior managers interviewed me for the second one and thought I was brilliant.
I think the reason I failed the second interview was because I don't come a cross as a outgoing charcter.
Ah right. According to the senior manager I came across as someone who's hungry for it and could go far.
If they couldn't even be bothered to make the expenses package attractive when you were doing them a favour by considering working for them you might have been better walking out there and then.
Maybe, but after 2 and a half weeks my wages have gone up by a massive 10p and hour already. Kerching!
Doesn't really matter. As you've said you're not earning much, if you're being taxed anything then the tax (and NI) deducted from the extra 10p an hour is the same £1.20ish a week regardless of what you're earning. From the £4 (40 hours a week being an assumption for that and the £1.20) then you've got £2.80 left. And yeah, I know that's a bit of an accountanty thing to pick you up on, but that's what I'm doing these days so it's not a surprise.
I tend to drink spirits but that sounds about right. It's in Scotland remember so the pubs probably find it easier to negotiate bulk buying discounts.
