Kiko will leave to join Elche in Spain on a season long loan deal with a buyout next season. leeds will part fund his salary this season and Orta has a replacement lined up?
I live in Skipton which is called the gateway to the dales. I'm similar to @SIDDAS in as much as I like to cycle but particularly running. It's a beautiful place to exercise in. Stunning. I've just cycled over the moors on my commute from work. Only 10 miles or so but the scenery is stunning.
The worst experience I've had wearing Leeds appararel away from football was in Northallerton in North Yorkshire. I was out with a young German girl at the time who was fairly new to the country. We had been in this pub we had never been in before up there. Not many in. We had our drinks and as I took our glasses back to the bar the landlord who was talking to 3 other guys looked at me and said he was a sheff Wednesday fan. I jokingly said "im sorry to hear that." He followed it with "I ****ing hate Leeds fans." My reply was "And?" The three guys he was talking to stood up and gave me evils. I felt like they were just waiting for the OK to go for me. Being 6'5 and 20+ stone I tend not to back down from much but this time I saw the girl I was with and she looked terrified so I thought discretion being the better part of valour and made my way out. This was some years ago and I've not been back to that pub since but would love to go back, especially now they are where they are
One of the best holidays I had was my bike loaded onto a bike trailer which was attached to luxury double deck coach in Leeds bus station, picked my mate up in Northampton on the M1 A45 junction then down to Dover. There were around 30 pf us from various parts of the North East down to London. We got off the coach in Prevence the next day, cycled around Arles and Carcasone and the area we are in on the TdF. We camped it was brilliant and 10 days later rang the coach driver who we knew would be on the motorway near Orange and got collected. We biked through some brilliant places, went on the lash every afternoon and night, awesome and some good craique meeting up with some of the group we met on the coach. Waitress service on the coach meant getting lashed all the way down and all the way home. Meals on the coach too and that company are still in business
Love that area of France, last time we went we went down to the Camargue, 42° every day, an unusually high temperature there, far too hot but it didn't spoil it , we just did the beach in the evenings instead. Only saw 1 other British family all holiday, had the craic with a few German families, those ****ers can drink. Arles and Carcasone are lovely places
I know Grassington very well. I used to play football for them. There used to be a picture of my ugly mug in the Foresters pub in a football photo. Don't know if it's still there.
Yeah we did Arles, Orange, Chateu neuf du pape, Gordes, Menerbes and all points Provence. Red bot so could only bike in the mornings and on the lash in the afternoon. Orange has a Foreign Legion base so plenty of drinking
Spent the afternoon of my 50th in the Foresters, did a good hike in the morning, first pint of Old Peculiar didn't touch the sides, old fella at the bar, asked if I was on death wish
Just watched it so happy for him Didn't think he was going to get on that last bend but levels Eddy Merckx’s record. over the moon for him.
It's fine pal. I try and keep away from the result and watch the highlights later but I always seem to find out before I get to 7 o clock. I'm really happy for Cav. He's a top bloke.
Erm ... the balance of this post is all wrong. How can you mention topless barmaids, but concentrate on talking about bloody cycling? I personally wonder if we might have found our next meetup venue. So we can go cycling, of course!
Notice Shaks has been quiet all day must be something to do with cycling or exercise or how can you bike with a pint of cider in your hand
