Been here since January, sh1te goal scoring record. Luck doesnt come into it. We could have carried on playing ***an and Garcia up front if you just want work rate. Those two worked their arses off but didnt find the net either. Make the decision early enough and we can be an automatic for promotion, the team is that good now. Excellent defence and midfield.
Love that one. I am a Norffull lad myself!! On With-er-en-sea, they have hell of a lot of West and South Yorkshire problem families living there. The local call them Comforts! Why? Because when you ask them what they are doing living in With they say- Comfort holiday n stayed!!
My girlfriend once worked with someone who had a relative who lived in Brough. She was called Mrs.Bean, but when anyone asked her, she said she's Mrs 'Bay-on' from 'Brow'
I was a Hornsea resident for 12 years, They were called Wessies and Comforts by the locals which I heard came from the saying "Come for t'beach, come for t'beer, come for't weekend.." similar though.. also werkt int Hornsea Pottery for a year and there were a large number of West Yorkshire folks.. a few lived at Aldborough Cliffs..
His brother and sister were at the game yesterday, his brother put his head in his hands each time he missed. He spent a lot of time signing autographs after the game(Mclean, not his brother) as did Basso, who wrote 'Jesus loves you'(or something similar) ahead of each of his autographs.
As for Mclean's ability, he's a very keen player, a very hard working player and a very nice bloke, but he's never worth £1.3m and he would have been better off remaining a big fish in League One. It's a crying shame that he hasn't made the step up and I'm pretty sure he's still capable of scoring more than he is for us currently, but if we're seriously looking at promotion this season, then we need better.
That must be quite tough for his relatives to sit with the fans. I'd probably fell like lashing out at someone after hearing all the stick he gets off the City supporters.
The one he cracked wide early in the second half nearly took my mrs head of lol, at least 12 ft wide, better luck next time lol
not often i agree with peter swann, but he sums it up in todays paper, "as he was running through on goal, i knew he wouldnt score" says it all im afraid, i thought exactly the same, and thats a poor situation when your thinking that about a striker!
