Well, the rest of the world thought it was no penalty and I guess that if it had gone the other way round (pen for Denmark) we would have seen different opinions here.
Who actually gives a **** what the rest of the world though Hubber. The penalty was given, the goal was scored, it was an England victory. End of……a bit like the Maradonna ‘hand goal’…….they won, we didn’t, so what ?
I feel really old when I ramble on to work mates that my first ever England away game was the WC semi final in Turin v Germany and how I witnessed first hand Gazza’s tears…….and then get told that the person I’m talking to wasn’t even born then
Found out a lot about my family during the last few weeks. Obviously knew the in-laws, and therefore the missus, were Scottish but have found out they've also got Croatian, Czech, German, Ukranian and Danish heritage. And now they've managed to find some Italian blood in the family line - it's been like living with the United Nations.
I thought watching live it was a penalty. Then I saw the video footage and thought it wasn’t. I’d be pi55ed if I was Danish but the better team certainly won. If it had gone to penalties, I’d rather have Kasper than Jordan between the sticks. Pleased we won and that we entertained. The country needed a lift and our team delivered. Let’s hope they can go all the way.
Mate, I’m just buzzing to be in the final……it’s a bit surreal and honestly never thought I’d see it in my lifetime. Can’t wait for Sunday
My son has been wearing the England shirt I was wearing in Turin that night into work on match days. Welcome back mate. Use the ignore button to gain maximum enjoyment.
Who knows how long I’ll last before I prance off in a huff……. Was a great night in Turin…..doesn’t seem like over 30 years ago
