The white semi circle is around 1.2m in front of them. Harry Kane is nowhere near a metre from them kind. Unless you’re using the types of measurement I do when explaining how big 8” is to my wife of course and they also hadn’t kicked the ball by then!
To me it looks like they're definitely more than the requisite one metre away from (in front of) them
This laser thing stinks. Hungary can racially abuse black players to their heart's content, but a single idiot does something that doesn't have any effect (because we know Schmeichel would have made the most of it if it had) and because it's England UEFA can't charge us quickly enough. They can **** off.
Think you need to check your tape measure Gordon! that semicircular line is less than 2 metres from the attacker. Kane is less than a quarter of tyat distance. there is no way in a million years that is a metre. not that it really matters of course as you say
This may be of interest to someone. A friend of mine has 2 tickets for the Final at Wembley on Sunday ⚽️⚽️⚽️ He paid £300 each including accommodation but he didn't realise when he bought them months ago that it was going to be the same day as his wedding! If you are interested, he is looking for someone to take his place!! It's at Sunderland civic centre Registry Office, at 4pm. The bride's name is Karen #itscominghome
Rarely I disagree with you mate but have to challenge you on this one. Grealish gets loads of grief for going down, and he goes down more than he needs to, but he doesnt half get some clog. Half of it is just late because his feet are so good. He is a footballer who will take it under massive pressure and enjoy it. That looks like he is slowing play down but what it should mean is other players have space to exploit. He has end product as well. 6 goals and 12 assists in 26 this season. We rave about McGeady and Grealish has similar stats in the prem. Overall I think he is high class. I have no objection to him not playing from the start though. Same with Foden who is even better in my opinion. We are basing the attacking play around direct running with pace, off Kane playing as a 10. It is working as well. He has been effective off the bench as well with 2 assists. Respect your opinion but saying we have a great squad apart from him seems some way off to me. All about opinions...
Only has one assist technically. Maybe statistics will say 2, but his cross fir sterling’s goal was about 5 yards behind without the deflection! I think Grealish is a decent PL layer. No more. Nowhere near the ability of Foden. He was dire yesterday. His antics in the corner where he was simply desperate for something to fall over were a joke. Could’ve cost us. McGeady, top of his game, was a much better player. I just see a player who, as the pundits say , “wins more free kicks”. Not “gets fouled more”. They never say that. Nobody does. There’s a reason! One of the most overrated players I can ever remember. That’s not to say he doesn’t fit, he does (sometimes. Obviously not yesterday) I think Rice is also overrated! But he fits the squad and the system. The best players don’t win trophies. The best team does and that’s what matters
Fair enough, I think you and I are usually on the same page about stuff so it was perhaps time we're not! Willing to admit I may have a blind spot regarding Grealish but I just don't see him hurting teams like Sterling and even, another player you mention, Foden (who I think is a real talent) do. I like your point about him dragging players to him and so creating space, I hadn't looked at it from that point of view. I would still rather have seen Jesse Lingard in the squad over him though, especially after the season he's had. It will be interesting to see what happens with Grealish if he goes to Man City.
Ha! See, while I agree with you about Grealish, I think you're way off the mark with Rice. He's been poor for England this tournament but (due to the West Ham association I often mention) I've seen a lot of him and I think I've only ever seen him give the ball away once in a West Ham shirt. He looks sheer class when he plays for them, always in the right place at the right time and always unruffled. He's looked a shadow of himself so far for England.
