We need to apply pressure and the spotlight on the premier league. If I go down I go down biting their ankles..
Even if we dont get a takeover somewhere down the line it'll happen elsewhere to another club... Making noise is important
It's great that Staveley has put to bed any doubts that the takeover is still on but if we lose arbitration I really think the CAT case will be just about compo to Ashley. The Saudis won't be hanging around any longer than after arb.
Yep. Was always an act of desperation to hope the government would force the issue. Very little chance the takeover goes through on the back of this imo.
Well, all my hopes now rest with the small bald man from Middlesbrough that claims to know CAT extensively.
I personally believe nick demarco, the club and Staveley know fine well the government won't intervene, but simply wanted to take the opportunity to put the spotlight on the decision makers in arbitration.
If CAT goes ahead then expect the PL to be exposed for what they are. The first televised home game in front of 52,000 is going to be toxic for the PL.
Time to give up if arbitration fails and then it's about deciding whether people want to be an advert for the very people that denied them.
Well its upto everyone to decide what they want to do, but I think it'll leave a nasty scar and everytime were struggling, selling players and when we're getting relegated somewhere down the line it'll bite badly. I feel the relationship will be severely damaged and it'll be difficult to know your money and your attendance is feeding the very people that denied you. Nufc fans really are just a good journeyman for the big clubs.. They play at a big ground and it makes good TV, but they're seldom going to see Newcastle beat them. On the other hand they've not just denied a takeover and a bright future, but they potentially killed the club if nobody bothers.. It's the same old **** really. A fruitless passion
It's funny, I was thinking the other day, the clubs that have genuinely enacted change of late (Man Utd, West Ham, etc) have usually done so by storming the pitch.
That's how you get things done, but we're living in a world where people think you can get somewhere being passive and pleasant. What happens is you get walked all over by tyrannical arseholes. This is the real world.
I personally don’t see this as an issue. I mean the chap himself has worked for the PL regarding the O & D test. It’s not a conflict of interest in my mind.
" There's those that know, then those that don't know and there's those that don't know they don't know "
You obviously havent been paying attention to our support in recent years. For a start, there wont be anywhere near 52,000 there, and secondly there will barely be a murmur about it. The crowd will be full of "support the team, not the regime" types.
