Can’t blame Ings. He’s 28/29? Has one big move left in him, sign a 4 year deal and that’s it. Saints is highest he goes. Prob see if anyone comes in this summer, otherwise hang on see about pre contract in jan (under the table if prem club) or if no interest sign a new contract at saints then as I’d imagine unless he gets a serious injury they’d offer him something.
Who would really take a punt on ings? 18 good months but another knee injury and in and out of the saints team since. Where would take the gamble? I saw both mancs linked to him instantly which says scattergun journalism. Seems to me a West ham or villa type move ought to be where he is pitching himself. He has the homegrown thing going for him I suppose but would Leicester or arsenal or spurs punt on him?
Portuguese hacks are being very specific about related sanchez transfer. Fee seems too high and wage too low for me so I'm still in the fake news camp.
Not really transfer related but Liverpool refused to allow konate and Salah to attend Olympics so will be ready for start of season with us. Good stuff that
Konate shouldn’t be. New club should be looking to put in a solid pre season to cement his place alongside vvd as he’s competing with 2 others for that spot. Salah, maybe but thought read before that he’s leaving it up to Liverpool to decide etc
Who gives a **** about Olympic football anyway. They try to big it up but in the big scheme of things its way down the list.
Just been watching Redmen tv podcast and they had an interesting take on transfers. They reckon that Klopp needs to see Virgil, Gomez and Matip in preseason to see where they are up to in terms of playing a competitive game before committing a chunk of any transfer budget on forwards or midfielders. Konaté may need another partner if all three CB's look way off the pace. It could also mean that we will hold onto Phillips for the same reason.
