This is my exact train of thought and I’m willing for others to convince me otherwise. If your playing delay tactics you don’t ask for 7 days. You ask for a minimum of 28. Hence my reasoning of the 7 day extension is to facilitate something significant. I.E a resolution! Remember the PL don’t want CAT. So why not delay that why ARB is in process. That’s what B and B are for. It’s almost the reverse of what the PL wanted re non separation. Quite ironic really. They wanted PIF to show MBS as director and thus the result is failed O & D test. They lose ARB the result is no CAT case. Quite simple really. Why invest millions into a CAT case if ARB wins. Pointless!!!!!!!!
I think this too. The PL are effectively asking a tribunal to rule that the sovereign wealth fund of another country should not be allowed to purchase a UK company. Only the Government can make such a law.

Yes. The 7 day delay is strange. If you are gathering evidence for a dispute, you ask for at least 14 days.
Here here. In fact. I think this is exactly the case and the reason why AS and co are pushing for transparency. The PL have maybe accepted the position and said ok we will go away and get said information you need. I.E **** what do we do. By pressing the transparency button that’s our guys final push to say “guys come on” let it ****ing go or else your dirty secrets are coming out!

Indeed that is bang on. And their “loose” reasoning was tepid at best hence the delay tactic being operated. They just did not expect MA and PIF to still be at the table 12 months down the road.
From reading the documents published it appears (it may be wrong) they specifically asked for the 12th as the extension date. The last time they tried this the CAT refused their deadline and stipulated a shorter one. So I think the 7 day extension (7 days) is important for some reason.
AHH ok, i hadn't understood it that they had specifically asked for only a 7 day extension, and in that case does make it suspicious
