TBF to rangers they where excellent about it, the gaffer couldn't see him getting anything more then a bit part of the team last season ( it was a pivotal season for Gerrard last season ) and DOC was desperate to just play football, everyone knew he needed to play games to really progress and he gave absolutely everything in training every single day, so when he confirmed he wanted to leave, rangers did everything they could to help him and he went with everyone's blessing and best wishes. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him back there one day
I'm not on twitter either, but the link GLP posted is basically rick aiming a pop at the club as per usual... It may well be a tongue in cheek pop ( before all the usual suspects come to his defence ) but it's a pop none the less. Our recruitment so far this pre season along with the last couple of windows has been absolutely spot on, but some "fans" still like to have pops
It certainly suggests this one was particularly good, but that's not a proper comparison to what he said. If you listened to my podcast for years, then switched to listening to To Hul lAnd Back and commented on their episode saying "It's good to be listening to a podcast now that has a lot of depth and analysis", I reckon there's a fair chance you're suggesting the one you listened to previously didn't.
If anyone who's commented on this particular article/soundbite can present the whole of the actual content of said article/soundbite, we may have something to discuss. As it appears to me, the actual words, hence the basis for analysis/interpretation (let's say evidence) is not forthcoming, therefore all interpretations are suspect (or essentially subjective). The lad may be speaking genuinely about his excitement of joining a new club, or perhaps attempting to be critical about his experiences at his previous club. Most people don't show their dark thoughts to the outside world (including those being represented through third-party agents). Why would they, it would only damage their future mobility/re-employment options ? Who wants to hire someone who badmouths their previous emloyers so readily publicly - an indication of discontent and disloyalty - maybe even a sign of "troublemaker" tendencies. The lad is probably happy to escape where he may not have gained what he thought he deserved, but he's not going to jeopardize his position in his new environment by intentionally publicising his dirty linen.
Stoke have declared interest in Dion Charles and have been quoted £2m by Accrington. No wonder we couldn't afford him.
“Nobody is leaving at the moment,” Jokanovic said. “I didn’t come here to sell the players. I came here to spend money and to fight with all my power to be successful“. It looks like we can forget Slater joining us for pre-season, hopefully things might change immediately before the season starts.
thanks. Never heard of them, must be lower league stuff but it prolongs his playing career for another year or 2
They got relegated from the Bundesliga ten years ago, but I’m surprised you haven’t heard of them, they’re famous for their supporters.
Methinks St Pauli is more famous for the Reeperbahn & associated activities. The Beatles hung out there in their informative tours in the early '60s. https://marketing.hamburg.de/beatles-traces-in-st-pauli.html
Never mind the fans they’re the club that did have beer pumps in their seats (and a hotdog train…and strippers?)
