i guess the boundaries between winger and full back have got thinner and thinner… ever since that boy Terry Cooper
Ell got it wrong in his synopsis. Elite Sport stars dont have unrestricted access. There is still self isolation, but it is a little less restrictive. Thus he will be allowed to stay in whatever hotel we put him into and allowed to travel to the training ground, not sure if he will be able to mix with the rest of the squad This is the rules for anyone classed as an elite sportsman (or woman) You’ll need to provide written evidence from a United Kingdom or English national governing body for your sport of your status as an international elite sportsperson or essential support staff attending a specified competition. Before you travel to the UK, you need to: complete the passenger locator form take a coronavirus test book any coronavirus tests you will need to take after arrival - required if you will be staying in England for longer than 2 days. If you are staying in England for longer than 2 days, you need to take a coronavirus test on day 2 and day 8 if you are still in the country. You do not need to show evidence of booking tests when arriving in England. You will not need to self-isolate for up to 10 days as long as you proceed directly to the footprint of the listed elite sports event you are participating in, and remain either self-isolated or within the event location (or locations if the event has multiple venues) until your departure from the UK. You must isolate within the event footprint with elite sportspersons training for or competing in that event, and also ancillary sportspersons who are involved in that event. Travel between multiple venue locations for the sports event is permitted. The sports event may include provision of hotel or other suitable accommodation within its location(s). You remain obliged to self-isolate if you stay somewhere other than the event footprint (e.g. if you own a residence in England), but are allowed to travel between such a location and the event, subject to any additional protocols imposed by the event organiser. The 10-day period for which you are subject to these additional conditions begins from when you arrive in England.
But he is not attending an elite sporting event. He is just coming here to earn a living playing football. Is he playing in the euros... Wimbledon... Racing driver? None of the above. So he will have to isolate. Plus he is not an elite sportsman with the potential to become better. He will require a minimum of five days in isolation. This starts the first full day after you arrive. On day five you can take a test to release. This is not a cpr test but a spit test which is far more accurate. If negative he can be released from quarantine then.
Fair enough Wakey, I'm not here to argue, just saying that he doesnt have unrestricted access as Elland said in his post. So obviously if that is what an elite sports person has to go through, it stand to reason that someone who is defined at a lesser status will be even more restricted
Obviously, given that my post was still saying that he wouldnt have the unrestricted access that had been intimated
Jack Harrison had to quarantine when he returned from America, I can’t see why this guy would be treated any differently.
He won't be, people are just picking up on the wording provided in Elland's post and deciding to be offended by the situation
Wakeys problem is he went every red light area in the Greek islands and had to self isolate when he got back. Surprised he wasnt given a few doses of oxytetrocycline
I hope the illegal economic migrants arriving on the Kent coast have followed the correct procedures what a load of old bollocks this testing/quarantining is ffs
