I

did say over the weekend what would happen in that the ARB is happening. That no agreement is being made. It is a weeks extension.

So not major really. But means also that they have not provided everything for ARB. So that’s also delayed.

My thoughts exactly. So the cases are not linked.

 

I’d imagine that explains their refusal to have it played out in public.

 

AS and crew probably got wind of the delay tactic for CAT and know that it means the ARB is being delayed also for whatever reason. Maybe the PL are not delaying the ARB. Maybe the people reviewing the evidence cannot give a verdict yet.

Or it could be the PL delaying it thus the requests for the ARB to be out in the open.

My guess is they are waiting for ARB to conclude or a resolution before submitting evidence for the CAT.

CAT is not needed if the PL lose ARB so it stands to reason they would delay CAT until that is established.

 

I agree.

A successful outcome with arbitration renders the CAT case pointless. Ashley will get his 300 plus million so won't chase compensation.

Exactly. Or bare minimum at best which may mean CAT goes ahead on a reduced claim. Which to be honest we don’t give a **** about because that is MA pocket money.

I believe that they PL have reasonably asked for the 7 days because they “may” get a resolution for ARB.

But an agreement is definitely not being worked on because if it was then there would be no need for all the huff and puff from AS NDM MG and co.

In fact the fact that they are pressing the nuke button for transparency means they are worried the PL are doing something naughty.

Do you still think arbitration won’t happen?

 

I don’t accept the delay tactics as them running away. I suspect it’s the advise they are being given.

I honestly think ARB will fall in favour for us. If the result is in the next 7 days. The CAT case isn’t needed. The PL will just say that ARB has been resolved and the CAT isn’t required which it isn’t.

 

I suspect that arbitration starts after 12th July.

Why? The deadline for the CAT evidence submission is 5pm next Monday.

I think the opposite. I think it may end prior to that. What benefit would it be for them otherwise?
