Did they ask for 7 and get 7?

They likely asked for longer. The reason given is arbitration. The seven day extension suggests that their preparation for arbitration is complete.

However, why they need extra time when thry are arguing that CAT/ arbitration are essentially the same material facts.

Just a shame thst we cannot see the solicitors letter.

Posting guesswork as fact on a message board is just as bad as posting it on twitter. In fact it's probably worse because the IQ of your average forum poster is a lot higher than that of a twitter user. You have come across as a credible ITK but that's no longer the case. In tarnishing Burnsie's rep you've just done the same to your own.

Plenty of speculation and no facts.

I couldn't care a less. I can predict what will happen based on considerable experience and pass that on. I have been right about a number things. All legal opinions are guesswork.

Burnsie - he doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. I've challenged him on procedure a number of times.

The PL has been granted an extension to challenge St James Holdings response. A maximum of seven days from today. The response is likely relating to a request for a private hearing.

We will have a decision on the Rule 34 application within 7 days. Based on experience, I would expect to see it thrown out and CAT to go ahead.

Then 7 days might not be what they'd hoped for..

The 7 days might be fruitless

It looks like this time they asked until 12th July and were granted it.

    Damn

Nevertheless what's another 7 days? Like I said earlier if it was nufc asking for an extra 7 days the negative nufc fans would say its a clear sign they know theyre going to lose

In all honesty this is quite common in legal cases, extensions of time being requested and granted. Its probably actually pretty meaningless in terms of the outcome.

I just like the idea of cans though.

You specifically said that some stuff was posted to bait Burnsie but not the CAT stuff, including the "fact" that the PL had failed to throw it out. You do realise that there are a lot more people reading this thread than just the five or six regular members?

Face it bud, this is an unprecedented case, one not seen before in football and you know no more how this will play out than any of the twitter fantasists.

By the sounds of it, these challenges to the CAT could go on for months more. And that's before the judge even decides if it should go ahead.

It is deeply unprecedented. I don't think a member club in the UK has ever challenged the governing body in relation to the lawfulness of their rules. A victory sets a precedent and a possibility of claims by other clubs for past conduct.

The CAT case will go on for a long time. Competitiin cases are not quick. We are still in the jurisdictional challenge stage. Until we have a decision in relation to that it is impasse.

Speaking with people I know who practice competition law, they are of the opinion that it could be an open and shut case and thst the PL know it. The PL's only challenge is jurisdiction- not what St James Holdings allege.

Arbitration will be resolved well before CAT. That is s given. It is bring heard on an expedited basis but God knows when it will start.

Mate so ****ing what? People enjoy a bit of banter and make predictions and there's no prizes for being right or wrong.

He's had things right and he's had things wrong.. Why do you care so much?

We don't.. It's just a forum full of lunatics and we don't give a **** what other people think.. If you do that in life you'll have problems because there's always going to be people out to get you no matter what you do.:emoticon-0148-yes:

The irony of you of all people asking this question.

I love it when people use the "I don't care that much really, just bantz innit" line.

You are consumed by this takeover. We all are. It's too late to start pretending otherwise, we are all far too down the line.

It just seems like you've waited for an opportunity to pick a fight with Sheikh_of_Araby that's all.

I never said nobody cares about the takeover. I asked why you care about him making claims so much?

I banter loads and I'm serious at times.

Are people not allowed to make claims for fear of being wrong? Jesus if that's a rule I'll be done for <laugh>

Let's hope we get a result one day

I'm not picking a fight at all. In fact I have enjoyed reading his posts on here more than any other. Which makes it pretty disappointing that all of the CAT stuff has turned out to be false, because it was posted as fact. Making a claim is different to posting something as factual. I mean, I claim to look like Brad Pitt but...:emoticon-0105-wink:

And if it's all just banter then why does Burnsie get so much stick? Twitter is just another form of social media that people hang off, the same as message boards like this one.

It's going to be an entertaining climax to this ridiculous charade.

Coaches of nufc fans to arrive in London for protests <laugh>
