Job done. The Ukraine defence had a torrid time dealing with the England crossing game. Will be interesting to see how England deal with a Denmark team no doubt fuelled somewhat by a 'for Eriksen' mindset.
I’ve never been on the Liverpool board, I can only imagine some of the rubbish that gets posted on there. For my sins, one of my close mates is a Liverpool fan and he’s frequently said over the years “I’m not English, I’m scouse”
https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/statistics/teams/attempts/?sortBy=attempts Attempts by team: Italy: 101, Spain: 95, Denmark: 90, England: 37. That's less than Scotland and 17 other teams. Southgate's side are definitely getting the job done and tonight was a walkover, but it's hard to say that they're not overly negative. Nobody will give a **** as long as they keep winning, though.
Just won 4-0 and into the semi finals of a major tournament and you had to put a dampener on it. Just enjoy it mate, with success looking very unlikely at Spurs anytime soon, this is the best chance of us getting to see our team lift a trophy in the foreseeable.
It's because we are being patient and only making atrempts when there is a real chance. Apart from corners we are only crossing the ball when we can pick out a free player in the box. More passes than crosses really. We are not playing negatively at all. We finally have players who are comfortable on the ball and that gives us options we've never had before.
You really do need rcl to take you out back to teach you the folly of tempting fate that both get a long-term injury in the SF ...
More clinical for sure, but without a 'goal likelihood' measure of every attempt you cannot tell whether an attacking team is effectively creating a lot of "noise" but no "heat or light" .
Nobody wants to talk about how a Spurs player is guaranteed to be in the Copa America final, as Argentina and Colombia face each other in the semis? ...although Ecuador did try and make that less likely
There are many variables. Some of these teams have gone to extra time and some have been in a situation where they have had to chase the game. By and large England have been in control. One negative perhaps is that we lack some creativity in midfield and will not be able to control possession against Spain or Italy. But against Denmark, the game should be suited to us doing what we do well. Playing in a typically English style and capitalising on crosses from wide areas.
Yes all there is an amnesty after the quarters so you can't be banned from the final for a yellow in the semi final
Englands biggest game since 2018 and all ITV can come up with is Sam Twatterface and Lee ****ing Dixon , yee gods the people at ITV have no idea much the same as these two
