Probably the best I've seen from Organ with the bat. He's finding himself a nice little all-rounder role at no.8 or no.9.

 

He's shown the ability to stick around before, but this time he's accelerated his scoring. Very good innings this.

 

Roelof VDM and Josh Davey going at an impressive rate this morning, 82 without loss building on the overnight 242-7.

Yet again the lower order rescuing Somerset from what could have been a below-par score.

Can't complain much about three half-centurions in the same innings.

 

350 within 110 overs should be very straight forward from here, run-rate wise, if we don't get bowled out first.

 

The batting order looks to have real depth now, if only we could just get a solid opening pair.

Officially, for the rest of the t20 and the final CC match vs Gloucs.

Unofficially, he wants to remain in the country in case he can get a short-term 100 contract (within limits, teams can sign temporary or permanent replacements mid-competition). So in theory he might feature in at least some 50 overs matches. But nothing official.

 

Makes you slightly wonder if we were trying to get 400. Organ just suddenly completely changed plan. Not brilliant.

 

Full batting points is not completely out of the question, i'm not going to blame Felix too much for going for it.

 

Has Wheal lied to CDG about his batting pedigree?

 

400 up for Somerset! What an amazing morning, over 160 runs and only one wicket. First first class 50 for Somerset for Josh Davey too, and De Lange's just got one too, with a massive 6 off the last ball before lunch.
