I'm sure Ralph has said that he wants to have a look at him in pre-season. I wouldn't be shocked if he does form part of the squad for this season coming (I mean, whether or not he is good enough for the PL isn't the primary issue. He just needs to better than Redmond or Djenepo, which is a very low bar indeed). Vestergaard looked awful for two seasons, and he turned it around.
Excellent points you make here. There's been a few players who have succumbed to the less than friendly SMS atmosphere once 'the crowd' decide they're rubbish players. If Ralph says keep him then he'll have good reason to, let's see.
My initial thought was that he was done here with no chance of coming back but then I thought that about Fraser. I agree with St Brendy, maybe he could offer more than some the current incumbents.
I’ll be very surprised if he is still here at the start of the season. I’ve seen absolutely nothing to suggest he’s good enough for the PL. Very happy to be proven wrong though. If Ralph thinks he’s worth a go, I trust Ralph
I'd be giving him a go unless a decent offer comes in. Never had a huge chance here and not sure he could be much worse than Redmond was last season.
Would rather move Redmond. Djenepo is much younger so more likely to see an improvement in his performances.
Yeah I get this, I still think Djneppo is more valuable so would move both on if i could. He has had 2 years with us and doesn’t seem to me like it is going to happen. Hope he proves I know nothing about the game, and is a world beater this season. Redmond I’m hoping for Norwich to be sniffing around him, would do all parties the world of good i think.
I’m not sure they are tbh, he barely had a sniff ina. Really poor team at the time. I’m not saying he will stay either, but it wouldn’t bother me if he stayed and one of the other 2 go.
I don’t think any of them are great tbh. Redmond had some good moments and chipped in with a few goals. Not see Djenepo do an awful lot but I get the impression the club think he has potential and want to persevere
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Dan Sheldon reported ages ago that this had been the plan last summer as well. Ralph wanted to get him and in and give him a shot but Celtic had been so keen to keep him for a second year and to wrap up the deal early, the club let him go back.
