Semi Final - winner will meet Winner of Spain v Italy (played 6th July)

having watched Denmark v Czech Rep and then England v Ukraine, smart move will be to back an England win, or a draw.
I can’t see Denmark storming this. I think they’ll have to either get lucky or win on pens.

England should win this and then, I suspect, end up facing Italy in a final. That will be an awesome outcome and a once in a generation experience.

I’d expect Italy to embarrass our back line and ultimately (without blame) Pickford, as they’ll be the first front-foot team we’ve come up against - in fairness they’ve been THE front-foot team this tournament, everyone else has been ‘intelligentossession’. It’ll be a clash of clash of philosophies.

However, for now, this is about the semi - I say an England win

I seem to remember us beating Denmark 3-0 in a World Cup knockout game (2002) and I can see us winning by that score again.

 

Pickford I still believe will **** up somewhere along the line.

He gets in too much of a flap, he has played well but just need to calm down at times.
