Really want to see Marveaux replacing Obertan now. The SSN site review of him sums him up really well: "..always involved in Newcastle's attacks but never really contributed in a major way." It's time to let Marveaux shine.

If Ben Arfa can cut through Spurs then Wigan should be bricking it! :D

The problem with Obertan is that he never really tries anything he never tries to take players on or anything he always just stops and then plays a 5 yard square ball. I hope Marv, Ben Arfa and Santon start next match.

Just got back from watching the game at the pub and this is what i thought:

    - Shola was unbelievable. I won't lie, i almost cried when he came on but that performance was something else!
    - Obertan needs to be out of the starting XI. He lost the ball many times and didn't really manage to make much positive impact.
    - Tiote is a maniac! He was ridiculously good in that game, stopping Spurs attacks wherever they started and his passing was mostly good.
    - Ryan Taylor was pretty decent. He should probably be on corner duties as well to be honest, Cabaye wasn't exactly impressive from them.
    - Steven Taylor needs to stop attempting clumsy tackles in the box. That's two games in a row where he's needlessly fouled someone who was running away from goal. Apart from that, he was solid as ever!

Great team performance, and a great second half! Hoping for more of the same against Wigan and hopefully a comfortable win! :)

Ye, he's been poor this season shola, but he looked hungry and alive today and put himself about. We would have all gotten on his and Pardews back if he hadn't scored, but he did, so be big enough to say well done Shola, and well done Pards.

just got back from the game, that was such a mental atmosphere, at the end when we were calling for a pen the ****ing stadium was shaking. Colo and guiti played tirelessly but i've got to say tiote was an actual beast their, pure ****ing die hard, 100% effort, we maybe should feel like we won, spurs just faded, tried every trick in the book to run the game out and overall that was very enjoyable, COME ONNNNNNNN

All of this, exactly this. Would've been happy with a draw before hand and I'm so bloody proud of this club right now. We could have won it.

I was in the pisser when Shola came on so I didn't really realise until he scored, spectacularly. But what a goal. I was shocked. He had some skill man. God I hope it doesn't mean Pardew plays him more often though <laugh>

4th in the league, 16 points, unbeaten. God it's good.

Sensational mate. 5 star everything. Was gutted to come home but today made up for it. Felt like royalty over there, the hotel and service was just sensational and I will definitely go back there.

Saw a couple of your tweets. Looked beautiful man. Very jealous. I've always thought of it to be honest. My Uncle went several years ago and said it was disappointing but apparently he was in quite a touristy bit. Might venture out there in few years though.

I'd fully recommend it. We were away from the main bit of Naama Bay(Sharm el Sheikh) so it was OK for us. They treat you well over there, just the 5 and a half hour flight that's the downer. I flew back by myself on Friday night as my parents are staying for another week so that was a bit of a killer as well.

I'm definitely gonna go before too long, always wanted to go out there. The flight would kill me though.
Ouch, bet it was gutting leaving. Today's game woulda made up for it though! Woulda been gutted for you if we lost like ha
