A nice treat - Car Seat Headrest have released a pile of covers - any Bowie fans should appreciate this
That’s weird I was talking to a friend who felt that that year was the start of Glastonbury going backwards and losing it’s true identity.
Looking at the behemoth it has become now, I'm pleased I got a couple of years there at the end of the 90s before it became too big. Don't think I'd enjoy it now. Moved up here in 2000 and started going to T in the Park - now that was an eye opener, even for me. A field full of 50,000 pissed Scottish folk is a sight to behold. We went for ten years, and that started to go downhill towards the end, and they had to stop it due to the stabbings and a couple of murders in our last year. We dug around and found some smaller, friendlier festivals and we've been doing Doune the Rabbit Hole for the last twelve years - you don't get the massive names, but a real good selection of bands and only a few thousand at the most. Last year was the first time in over 20 years we haven't been to a festival - fingers crossed we get to this one in August...
Must be doing something right - jnr just bought this for both of us... Not heard this on vinyl for years - sounds sooooo good!
And I bought this for Mrs Steels on Record Store Day - limited edition, 50th anniversary picture disc of Janis Joplins "Pearl"...
A nice suprise - new album by Modest Mouse....haven't listened to him for a while, still sounding good
