    Sonny Liston won, SP 18/1.

That's A Given won. Second race after wind surgery.

That was a stunning debut from Sonny Liston. Great shout Pilgrim.

The Queen's Dukedom was one I had made a note of as one of interest but he was way too short to be thinking about as a bet on debut. Frankie wasn't very inspiring on him today, managing to get trapped when it seemed obvious that he needed to switch sooner. The jockey had to wait and come really wide for a run but Sonny Liston had exploded clear and although Dukedom got going, it was only ever going to be for second place.

Sonny Liston looked an exciting prospect but I don't know how many of Charlie Hills' seem to fail to progress as expected. That would be a slight concern for me about a colt who looked Group class today.

Dukedom looked very much like one for the future. He probably bumped into something well above the average today and despite not getting the most inspired of rides today, he did come through to take second place. He looked pretty green to me today and physically looks like he will make big progress from this introduction. I would be amazed if he doesn't get the big P from Timeform and he will probably go off short odds again next time and look a penalty kick in a maiden.

Poor runs from Gaius and Oh Great, while newcomer Goldsmith was only 7/1 and apparently had some support but was stone last.
