I know, there’s nothing anyone can do to save you now, but I will give you a Viking funeral to bring tears to the eye. Tales of you will be told around the fires of your grandchildren’s grandchildren
Complete speculation: I recon the premier league will legally win the arbitration. I think the club knows this but also knows that the premier league have acted deliberately against the takeover by pushing its rules to extreme grey areas (things like just choosing not to make a decision, delays, delays). NUFC think they will lose but would win massively in the court of public opinion. Also the premier league will be shown in public to have been screwing one of its members putting it under more pressure in its case not to have a regulator. So either: 1. Premier league rides the storm of confidentiality. 2. Premier league agree to a side deal avoiding arbitration 3. Premier league accept going public, probably still win but hurt themselves in the battle not to be regulated I think the premier league go with option 1 and our only chance of a takeover is option 2
Could be right I believe arbitration is a coin flip that both sides would rather have avoided, but it's got that far. I believe the premier league are happy to chance it provided nothing can be made public (exposed) If the premier discover things will be aired in public I expect they'll fold.
Bingo - 1&3 will both happen. And, of course, 2 will never happen. The reality that's been obscured is that our only ACTUAL chance of a takeover is for Mike Ashley to accept he's been a ****ing terrible owner and actually ask a fair price for the club. If that happened we'd be sold tomorrow. This greedy **** is yet again throwing the future of the club on the line so he can trouser more money - everything Ashley had done and ever will do is to benefit Mike Ashley.
I understand there's still more than one possible outcome, but I don't get why you're so convinced nick demarco can't win. That's why it's got this far because the people including demarco believe they can win.
Why did France not make the quarter finals? There's opposition who are also quite good and on their day, if they get it right, they can win no matter how unlikely. It's Mike Ashley's greed vs PL, Qatar, Sky, Big 6. I don't give a **** who he employs, he's not going to win because the deck is stacked.
Ashley has won the first round of the CAT case. The PL failed to get it thrown out. They are now trying to get the case heard in private, contrary to CAT's ethos of complete transparency. If CAT hasn't thrown the case out thst means the PL are toast.
The last person I'd follow out of the trenches is Mike ****ing Ashley. He's the **** paying for a 40 berth boat to take him off the beach, on his own. Mate, you're purely speculating based on wording Mike Ashley wants you to see. I think it's far safer to assume that the case is going to remain confidential - I reckon it's really easy for the PL to argue about it being a confidential process, it was written in their rules before PIF came along. I suspect Ashley and his team know this and are playing the "see? told you they were hiding something" when the decision goes against him. Besides which, this is like a prelude. Even in the unlikely event of Mike Ashley winning this, the best that can then happen is for the PL to apply their O&D test, probably eating up more time and they may decide to fail someone anyway, which will remain confidential. All the while this goes on, which is only going on so Mike can get a decent wedge from the sale, the club is festering with no recruitment and little hope. A poor start and all the speculation will kick off AGAIN about "safety being secured before takeover", rinse and repeat the same ****.
I've done my bit once again. Emailed my mp Signed petition It's all we do and it might seem small, but every little whisper can become defeafing.
Ashley didn't word that statement. It was worded by a lawyer. You can tell a mile off. I suspect it was De Marco. In any event, are you saying that the lawyer who wrote that, close to the events, doesn't know what they are talking about? The wording is clear - The PL are trying to have the CAT case heard in private. Not thrown out. They would use those words. That pretty much says, failed to get it thrown out so are trying to have it heard in private. There is no fanciful interpretation. It is the wording of a legal professional conveying Ashley's views.
As usual you single me out, but I'll apologise seeing as you're obviously upset. Not sure you've said anything other than unpleasantries to me for months, but I wasn't bothered.
In slightly different news, wasn't there something somewhere on this thread a while back about a link between the Reuben Bros and our new kit manufacturers Castore? Or am I making that up?
