we played well , very comfortable on the ball and we all played as a team ! Arfa is very hungry for the ball and hogged it a fair few times but i guess he loves playing football ! Pardew did very well with the tactis and subs ! And Ameobi , blimey , where did you pull that goal out from and his skill was brilliant ! Maybe they have been working on something ! Anyway great game to watch and well played Newcastle ! Quality !!!

What a block from Taylor in the final minutes from that Defoe shot!

Ben Arfa hasn't played proper football in a year. Give him some time to get back. Everyone will now say Spurs were poor, and maybe they were. But I think we outthought them in midfield. We were in control over large parts. Defoes strike was quality though, top notch, and the first goal was a cheap gift to them. A point is an okay result, we could have won, we could have lost. Do we know more about our team today than we did yesterday hard to say. Experts will say no. I think we should great spirit to come from behind twice. Really impressed me. Tiote and Jonas were really good, Colo was strong as well. Obertan just... should come on late game and run at people, shouldn't be a start imo.

Nice to see Santon to, he looks really comfortable on the ball. However this is now a good chance to change things as we can't keep riding our luck like we do at times.

At the end of the day, this was hyped up as our first BIG test, and we came through it and even looked the better side. Bodes well if we can stay clear of key injuries.

Credit to Raylor today, I'm not his biggest fan but I thought he was superb today

Agreed..I personally had a broken tibia and haven't played for a full year.. It's been 2 months since and I have never looked the same on the ball as I used to be...it's really saddening to know you might never be the same..I hope its not so for Ben Arfa.

No we didn't, there's another 30 games to go yet, another step on the way to doing so though.

Great seeing Santon and Ben Arfa on the pitch where they will hopefully stay for the next match. Santon looked good and while Ben Arfa got shrugged off the ball on a couple of occasions, the time when he carved through the middle of the pitch was sensational and hopefully a sign of things to come.

We should have won that imo. After all, the only reason they're coming away with a point is because we gave away a penalty.

BUT, they had some class chances and it was pretty head-to-head, so I'm happy with a draw.

Unbeaten for yet another week and still 4th <diva>

have to say, although ive never been his greatest fan, pardew's subs were perfect.

i dont think either best or ba deserved to come off, but something needed to change and to change both at the same time keeps everyone happy and it worked out for the team.

and although i think that simpson is a better footballer than raylor, is was a good choice at 2-1 down to keep raylor on because of his set pieces, and santon definitely needed first team mins and he's better off getting them at SJP.

we didn't win, but we played well and i am happy with a point. very pleased with pardew's performance today and although i still think he is a bit slimey he has gone a long way towards winning me over
