Considering the quoted fee Ajax was offering was half of what we paid for him eighteen months back, I doubt we'll be accepting that

Also, of the four RWs we have, surely Lamela is the most likely to leave this summer?

Agreed, he'll make their counter attack more frightening but it's not their counter attack they need sorting out, it's when teams sit back they can't seem to break teams down. I put that more down to Ole than the players though. I think Cavani helps with them breaking teams down but he doesn't seem to like to make him a starter. Here's hoping Cavanis another year older and at the point of being past it

Yeah Lamela's surely nailed on to go.

Though I think Bergwijn could be a goer if we get a decent offer, and then look at bringing in someone to compete with Lucas.

Yeah, that and their defence. Need a better and more suitable partner for Maguire than what they have. I like some of their CMs too but they could do with some addition there.

They're looking for a pacey CB, preferably with Premier League experience

No, please, don't offer us £75m for Davinson Sanchez...

It took less than an hour before strong links to Mendes clients came up, with Goncalo Guedes getting linked by the Spanish versions of Romano et al

Or that's the latest nudge to Sonny's ribs to suggest that, hey, maybe sign that contract now...

So that's a whole new defence, basically. Ok...

    Spot on.
Lindelof and Fred are not good for one’s nerves.
But it’s not easy to find players who can do those roles in he PL without breaking the bank - and the reality is the players who would be suitable would never be sold by their clubs.

Very realistic. But Spurs fans expected us to replace Dembele with someone of similar quality. Somehow....

    Works for me.

Tomiyasu's looking like a deal that really could happen providing he don't choose Atalanta over us. I also think Andersen could happen assuming Nuno/ Paratici want him.

Kounde though I can't see being a goer due to the expected fee.

Breaking the bank? It’s Man Utd, when has money ever been an issue for them? Your fans hate the glazers but the club always spends big money

It’s being spent on Sancho though. What’s left over?

Bale and Vinicius’ loan deals expired last night.

Wonder if we’ll try and go back for Bale again? Would love for us to do so.

I know that 'swap' deals seldom happen but the only way that I can see this happening is if Sanchez/Ndombele is included for about half of the fee and we maybe include a sweetener of a someone like Bergwijn on loan.

His most recent comments made it pretty clear he expects to play under Ancelotti next season.

I dont follow Italian football much, I've had a look at a couple of youtube videos he looks a decent prospect. Holds the ball up well, seems to be in the right place at the right time and knows how to finish. Obviously its only youtube and could be completely wrong and of course the Serie A is different to the premier league but I could see him doing well for us providing we signed an Eriksen type player to feed him and Son.
