He’s not a washed up ex top manager like Jose Mourinho, nor is he a top manager like Conte is and he isn’t a young up and coming manager like Nagelsmann either. I can only see this ending in tears and Spurs being left with squad full of Jorge Mendes clients on long contracts when Nuno and Paratici are relieved of their duties within 18months.

Nuno did well at Wolves. But he’s no pedigree at the level Spurs want to be competing at or in handling/recruiting players of the calibre Spurs have/need. He’s a gamble but it may or may not prove a success. Pochettino was probably in the same category when appointed. Just be prepared for an influx of Portuguese players.
So Doherty having just 12 months on his deal and Mendes pushing a client of his over to one of his best mates had absolutely nothing to do with the deal, no? Ok.
