He'll make you guys solid and oragnised. He'll always give the big boys a game but i'm not sure he's the man to push you into the top 4. Oh and if he's anything like how Wolves play, then @remembercolinlee and @"Thanks for that Brian" are going to be nuno out in no time At least he will get your players putting in 100%
An underwhelming appointment but I will get behind him and hope he can do the business. COYS. Almost 3 months fannying around and we end up with Nuno, who we could have appointed 6 weeks ago. I can`t help but thinking this is a compromise appointment because he is a free agent and also a Mendes client. A 2 year deal does not show much faith in him from Levy either, he will get my support but he will be p*ssing in the wind working for Levy and ENIC.
Honestly, if Nuno is a Jol-like appointment who builds the long-term foundations for a team and does so on purpose (unlike two Portuguese managers back, who built one by accident) then he will be a success The obvious point is whether he will be a success on his own terms, or a success two years from now when somebody inherits the side and aims it upwards
It does sound like Nuno was fully Paratici's choice and in that respect I'm "glad" the DoF got what he wanted, even if he's not someone I wanted. All reports claim he wasn't on our radar until Paratici began calling shots. The pressure is certainly on though, Levy needs to ensure Paratici (and Nuno) have a sufficient budget to work with and Paratici now has to ensure that he was right pushing for Nuno.
I will be honest and say that I do have the nagging belief at the back of my mind that Paratici is hoping that Mendes furnishes our squad this summer, and that probably won't budge until...I don't know, January 2023?
Poch pretty much said the exact same when he joined - and he done just that. Here’s hoping Nuno does too.
I'm pretty ok with Nuno as our coach. Conte and Nagelsmann were pipe dreams and hopefully they are the calibre of manager we will get in the future once our cash cow of a stadium brings in the money to offer them the finances to buy the very top players they demand. For now it's all about the rebuild and I'm confident Nuno is the man for that. I'm sure Levy has made it clear to him that we need to play entertaining football and Nuno did this with Valencia. Just hope Paratici and Mendes supply him with some exciting signings like Kounde , Neto etc and the likes of Sissoko, Aurier, Winks are quickly pushed out of the door.

My view of Wolves before this season is so obviously very wrong...I enjoyed watching them the few times I did...
It’s interesting to me that both Levy and Paratici focus a lot on Nuno’s adaptability as a coach. By all accounts he played some good stuff in his jobs before Wolves, it may well be that given the demands of the Championship and then the PL relative to the players he had at his disposal meant that he went for a more attritional style at Wolves. Whether we end up settling on 4 or 3 at the back, I’ll be interested to see how he plans to set us up, how much we’ll press, and how he’ll look to break down opposition. Personally I found the high press that Poch used in his first years at the club just as thrilling as the style he adapted to during our peak years (whether 4 or 3 at the back) where we still pressed situationally but also held possession more. I’m more excited than I thought I’d be about Nuno. He intrigues me. Now everyone needs to get to work.
