"I believe this is a club that is going places. I'm determined to play a big part in helping this great club achieve its ambitions." Not a small club after all.
a man can lower his ambitions as he ages and settles. Like when a young man hunts for a hot blonde in his 20s but will settle for any old bint in his 50s as long as she can cook dinner. he never mentioned what everton's ambitions are, did he?

His best days are behind him now anyway so may as well collect some money whilst doing something you enjoy
Thing is managers last 18months or something these days so the last everton manager to have more than 100 games at everton was Martinez and the everton fans hated him about 3 months after he started (constantly complaining they could not defend) Since then koeman, allardyce, silva and Ancelotti have all come and gone along with caretakers. 4 in 8 years. Why would rafa be the guy to last 5 years? They'll get a season or a season and a half out of him before blaming him for all that ails them and go for mourinho who will have been sacked by roma for arguing with everyone.
For the fact that Rafa Benitez was Liverpool's manager before makes Everton's job difficult than usual. He can be lucky to win a trophy asp this will make Everton fans happy.
He needs time, something they've been unwilling to give to others. This could be the summer of mass exodus as well.
Who knows. I haven't paid attention to contracts and such at everton. I just know james wants out but they have some good players like allan so much depends on the funds to spend
After spending months looking for a manager, Spurs finally settle on Nuno. The guy they literally looked at first.
Makes me laugh levy saying brought someone in to get back to dna of attacking entertaining football. Not the words of use to describe nuno and wolves
The Ev are lucky to get Rafa. Very lucky indeed. He won't win them the title, but they'll improve under him. Next season's derbies will be #awkward, though
